I recently had a brow lift and blepharoplasty procedure with Dr.Christensen and could not be happier with the experience. He spent around two hours with me at the consultation appointment explaining the procedures and answering questions. My surgery was done 2 1/2 weeks ago and have been for two post-op appointments. He and his staff have been very accommodating and helpful. I was very comfortable with Dr. Christensen and had confidence in his knowledge and ability. I will definitely recommend Dr. Christensen and his staff to family and friends.

I saw Dr. Christensen about 5 weeks ago. The surgery he recommended was a brow lift and eyelids lift. He explained everything in detail as to the procedure he would be doing. He was very patient and gave me plenty of time to ask questions that he thoroughly answered. My wife was with me for each visit as well as the surgery date. He was very nice to her and he made sure that she was included in any of the discussion. My recovery was faster than I had expected. I have minimal scarring and as each day goes by it gets better. I was very pleased with him and his assistant getting back to me in a timely manner with the information concerning preop and postop procedures as well as financial information. The nurses and caretakers at Duke Regional were very attentive to me and made sure that I was comfortable and not in pain. I would highly recommend him to others who need this type of surgery.

Dr. Christensen explained in detail the procedure for lifting my eye lids that were interfering with my vision and lifting my forehead to bring my eyebrows back onto the brow bone. The surgery was done at Duke Regional Hospital, and the operation went smoothly. I was awake during the surgery, local anesthesia was used, and was able to open and close my lids - when asked to do this. His nurse assistant was attentive, and the doctor and nurse continuously inquired how I was doing. The hospital staff were friendly, professional, and caring. After the surgery, Dr. Christensen met me in the out patient surgical area to review the surgery and to arrange my follow up visits at his office. At his office, I met many people who were living in other parts of NC and surrounding states. I would recommend Dr. Christensen to anyone with eye problems, as I am happy with my results.

I have been a patient for 31 years of Dr. Christensen. Back in 1983 I went to him to repair a "botched" eye surgery from another Dr. When I was looking for someone to repair the mess I called UNC Hospital and was told that Dr. Christensen was the man to call for any repairs involving the face/eye. He repaired my Jones tube (artificial tear duct) and removed from my nose/face area a dye that had been injected by the "botched dr." The results were amazing. I visited Dr. Christensen over the years and just this year 2014 the tube finally gave up and Dr. Christensen replaced it with no problems and excellent results. When I knew I needed it replaced I traveled 70 miles one way to see the Dr. I knew could fix my problem and he did. Great guy and the staff is very helpful

My experience with this doctor was a gross disappointment and a total disaster! I've suffered with burning pain and deformed eye lids every since he operated on me for what was supposed to be a simple out patient procedure. He was about 6 hours late for the surgery. I didn't get released to go home until the next day about 6:00 PM. He would not own up to what he did to me, and has not to this day.

Dr. Christensen has operated on me twice and both times I received excellent service, and great surgical results. Dr. Christensen takes the time to explain in great detail the procedures he performs and will answer all of your questions. He is very thorough. I would not hesitate to return as a patient. His staff is courteous and extremely knowledgeable about the services they offer. He has over 30 years experience and is meticulous during surgery.

I saw Dr. Christensen for Thyroid Eye Disease, and it was a terrible experience. Not only did he have me in tears on my very first visit, but he used scare tactics telling me I was going to go blind to get me to agree to have a bunch of unnecessary risky operations. He also seemed to talk more about how I was going to have to pay, because these procedures weren't covered by my insurance more than he EVER spoke about what outcomes I should expect from the surgeries - but he would try to reassure me that I was VERY lucky that I had come to him, because of how great he was! Give me a break. I ended up doing my research, and found an actual world renowned specialist at UNC. He told me that I wasn't going blind, and that I didn't need those surgeries at all. The surgeries I DO need are very simple procedures, that would be covered by my insurance. When I told him that the previous doctor told me that I was going blind, he just laughed and said "you saw Dr. Christensen didn't you?" and shook his head.
