I felt he didn't really seem interested and kept telling me insurance would not pay for any moles, etc. removed. I wasn't too impressed with his bedside manner at all.

If you are not using Dr. Cooksey you should be. I've used numerous dermatologist in my 66 years and while they have all been excellent Dr. Cooksey gives new meaning to excellence.
I've recommended family members and friends to him that that needed that little extra knowledge and experience and he always has taken care of their issues usually on the first visit.

more knowledgable than others that I have been to. He caught my Celiac disease where another Dr. said it was poison ivy. You don't have to wait for hours in the waiting room to see him after your appointment time.

I felt as though Dr. Cooksey thought my questions didn't merit answers. I left both times with my concerns seemingly disregarded by him. He also peformed a small procedure on me and I felt like it could have been less painful. He does seem very knowledgeable, but that seems to translate into him believing he is superior to you and will tell you what you need to hear. However, he did hastily advise me to use hydrocortisone on a rash and it would be fine. It's still with me 6 months later. Staff is fine. I hear he now has a P.A. and she's supposed to be great.

i asked doctor cooksey to look at my boils on my stomach he did not do nothing either. then i ask him about removing a cyst on my butt medicare and medicaid will not pay for it. avoid this doctor.bad business. does not care about my problem stay away from this ****.
