High fives for Dr. Berner! He treated my torn rotator cuff (one inch by MRI) without surgery, for which I respect him greatly. Great result. He has performed six operations on both hands (carpal tunnel, tendon problems)in recent years with excellent results. He is a compassionate man who I immediately liked for his manner and patience. Chosen a Baltimore Best recently. I can't find any negatives about him or his staff.

After elbow surgery for my broken elbow, I developed a miserable condition called RSD (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy) also called CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome)in my hand. The hand was twice its normal size with constant burning and pain and I could barely move any of my fingers. Dr. Berner at first refused to acknowledge that it was RSD/CRPS. Then he treated me with Prednisone which did absolutely nothing to aid the pain or swelling. He said I would just have to live with the condition. Luckily, when I switched doctors, my new doctor immediately said I needed nerve blocks in my neck which gave me almost complete resolution of my problem. If I had received nerve blocks earlier, my condition would probably be better than it is now. I have full use of my hand (thank heavens) but it does ache some. The staff at Dr Berner's is the absolute rudest staff I have ever dealt with. I would never go to any doctor in this practice again.

This office is a bit of a factory - they want to push you through the system. Incredibly crowded and small waiting room for so many docs. Long wait times for what is a fairly short visit. Still, Dr. Berner was frank and knowledgable and diagnosed my elbow problem right away and didn't hesitate to prescribe plenty of PT. Still, he seemed to pushing the pain reliever drugs a bit and I sort of wonder what their tie to the therapy place is...but I would go back to Dr. Berner and I'd recommned him to others...
