I have never wanted to complain about a doctor before. He took a sensitive, terrible medical moment and made it so much worse. He is an insult to the profession and thank God he isn't practicing anymore.

This man should NOT be a doctor. We were concerned seeing him as we already did a quick google search of his name to find 2 full search pages full of TERRIBLE reviews. He is unprofessional, speaks of women in a DISGUSTING way, and makes condescending remarks. He acts as if he assumes people around him are of minimal intelligence. Also needs to be chaperoned NOT just with female patients but with all his patients. The clinic was unable to release any information as to why. This experience was absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor and I would NEVER recommend him to ANYONE!

This doctor incompetence is unbelievable. How is he still practicing? Years of pain and treatment for a degenerating spine. Had spinal injections at Caleo in Calgary until they were no longer helpful. Extreme pain in my joints now and my arm is useless. Bleeding internally for over a year and it just gets worse and worse. Dr Garbutts diagnoses? Depression. Here, take these pills and return to work in two weeks.

I was waiting in emergency for a diagnosis on my hsnd as I was leaving for Sask. next day . Two people who came in after me got in ahead but looking at them and their circumstances I didn't have a problem with that. A third person who came in also got in ahead of me and I could see no reason for this . When every body else was finished Dr. Garbutt walked right passed me and dissappered. I had had a run in with him before and he doesn't have the decency to attend a patient he doesn't like. It is beyond me how he got a license to practice medicine.

Dr Garbutt should be forced into retirement!!! Waiting in emergency for hours while he chatting on the phone and with his staff. I had severe abdominal pain to point where I thought I was going to pass out. I then went to tell him and his response was - well don't pass out on my floor go back to your chair - UNBELIEVABLE!!! Avoid this incompetent Doctor at all costs.

This Dr. is a joke. He should retire. He kept us waiting in emergency for 4 hours while he sat there and chatted with the nurses, then he left for supper for over an hour and a half. We were the only patients in the Emergency Department. If he doesn't like you he does this type of thing. I have heard numerous people say this as well.

Terrible! Saw him because I was having an allergic reaction to medication and developed a rash he said "no' definitely chicken pox, I said but I had chicken pox when I was 5 and I have no fever or anything I feel otherwise fine, he said that is a mystery and gave me a Rx for Valtrex. My gut told me to get a second opinion and she confirmed what I already knew allergic rash reaction to meds. This guy needs to retire bc he just isn't interested in doctoring.

I like him. Not the greatest bedside manner, but I don't go to the doctor for hand holding. If I felt his diagnosis was incorrect, I would get a second opinion. That's one of the great things about having many doctors. I'd still retain his services as my general practitioner.

Worst Dr I have ever been to. First time pregnancy with pain and he decided to use his sarcasm and zero cooth demeanour. Walked out and ended up finding out from another Dr that it was a kidney infection. Awesome way to treat a young women going through her first pregnancy and in pain. Awesome.

My mother came in to the ER very ill. Dehydrated and in pain, later to find out that she had an abscess the size of a pear in her abdomen. Left her there, no IV no pain medication and decided to go for dinner. My Mom had to ask the nurse for the IV bc she knew that she needed something now. Finally he ordered the ultrasound and instead of transporting her they told her she had to find her own transportation. So no IV and sick as can be she had to travel with no assistance.. I am so disappointed in the level of care. Provided. We put our trust in Drs bc they are trained and have the knowledge base to save lives.. This is unacceptable!! Thankfully she finally healed after 3 months of treatment.
