I work in the healthcare insurance field. Dr. Weiss is a neurosurgeon who was highly recommended to me by other professionals in the healthcare field. I found him to be an excellent neurosurgeon. Admittedly, he is a conservative surgeon who will not conduct surgery unless it is absolutely necessary. Before my surgery, I was in horrendous pain. Dr. Weiss conducted a laminectomy on me on a Thursday on in 4/09. By Monday, I was working from home. The next week, I was back on the office. I cannot thank him enough for his compassion and gifted surgical skills.

Dr. Weiss saved me from 6 months on my back. Woke up one morning unable to walk and went to a Bone and Joint Clinic. Walked out when they told me they wanted remove the cyst and fuse my vertebrae and put me on my back for 1/2 a year. They didn't do an MRI all they did was take XRAY's. Dr. Weiss took the time to explain what the cyst was doing and how he was going to remove it. Had the surgery a couple weeks later and went home the same day! Thank you Dr. Weiss. He may not humor you, but he was straight and to the point. He's also my boss’s husband's back doctor and they speak very highly of his knowledge and ability to ensure the least about of intrusion for a quick recovery.

I've had (2) surgeries by this neurosurgeon and I'm amazed at the negative comments found on this site. I've always found this doctor to be straight forward and honest about my condition and options for treatment. He has always treated me with respect and in a professional manner. His staff has also assisted in a prompt manner for any issues I needed assistance with.

If you google Dr. Robert Weiss Nashville Tennessee, you will find where on several workman comp lawsuits he testifies on behalf of he defendant, the company, not the patient. If your employer or Workmans comp doctor pressures you to schedule an appt with him, this is why. Seems like a money would be saved if the company would send the workers to a legitimate doctor so lawsuits would not have to happen.

Dr. Robert Manuael Weiss seemed very unconcerned with my condition, he rushed me through the office visit and failed to take time to answer my questions. He was very short with me and I felt that he pusehed me out the door. After seeing Dr. Weiss he only gave me a prescription for pain and said I could get a second opinion if I wanted to. I would not recommend this dr. to anyone to me he appears arrogant, and very disconcerned.

I was sent to Dr Weiss by my orthopedic Dr for a second opinion on surgery. Dr Weiss was arrogant and when he was first questioned about the surgery he stated he had never heard of it. He left the room to look at my MRI and EMG as well as nerve conduction study tests results. When he returned he insulted the Dr that sent me to him to begin with. He then proceeded to question the results of my EMG and Nerve study and the credentials of the Dr that did the testing. He let me know I was crazy for considering the surgery ( I never said I was going to have the surgery, I was only there at the suggestion of my orthapedic surgeon since the surgery is very rare, invasive & can be crippling. He wanted me to try and get all the information I could on this procedure.) Dr. Weiss let me know he couldnt help me since he couldnt operate and that was it. He never even examined me only insulted the valitidy of the tests results I brought to the office.
