He did a good job, but didn't seem quite as helpful as other reviews said.

Dr. Nielsen is amazing. He has been the pediatrician for both of my kids. I will never go to anyone else! He listens, validates your concerns, and is very thorough and knowledgeable. My first child was born with a dimple at the base of her spine which was of concern. He made a special trip to the hospital that evening she was born to check it and ordered tests to make sure everything was ok. Also with the birth of my son I got very emotional about some things in the hospital and just a few days after leaving the hospital (dang hormones) and he was very sensitive and understanding. The only thing I would say that is negative is that you sometimes have to wait a while for him, especially if you have an appt in the afternoon. But it is worth it to me, and I think its because he takes time with his patients instead of rushing everyone out of there. He is wonderful!

Dr. Nielsen is the most caring Pediatrician I have EVER met. When I had my baby, she would cry ~22 hours/day and get little to no sleep for the first few months. I was finally at my wits end, so I took her in to see Dr. Nielsen. Instead of making me feel like I was over-reacting or exaggerating the situation, he listened to all of my concerns thoroughly and intently. From the get-go he actively tried to find solutions. He did everything from very thorough exams to blood tests, ultrasounds/x-rays, diet adjustments, medications that would help treat her symptoms, etc. He would even call me at 10:00 PM to tell me the results of the latest test. He treated us like his own family and even worked his busy schedule around ours. He is nothing short of amazingly WONDERFUL and I will always take ALL of my children to him.
