"We don't usually help people like you", he said. My crime? Being a victim of childhood abuse. Took a year to do tests he promised would be done in a month (and later were repeated in that time elsewhere). Cancelled tests without reason, deliberately delayed progress. No people skills, yet a consumate professional, he is an A type personality prone to manipulate and control all around him. Of course this has lead to great success in the messed up world of British medicine. He may be brilliant but he is horrible. His team are lovely people but his Senior colleague sat like a schoolgirl on her hands at the back of the room during consultation and only opened her mouth when he gave permission as he lied about my condition. He cancelled a test she agreed was urgent and he was angry she agreed to do it - the result: eventually it proved I was right about my condition and I had the impression that is why he did not want it done, as did my companion. Wish I had never met this man.
