I had an early miscarriage in my second pregnancy and I took 5 pregnancy test to confirm I was in fact pregnant in the beginning. I was bleeding shortly after and I knew it was different from just a normal period. When I went to Dr. Steinbeck, he would not acknowledge that I was in fact pregnant and said the pregnancy tests were wrong. All 5 of them. He was so rude and uncaring that I left crying and never went back.

Dr. Steinbeck is my doctor for 17 years, he is very knowledgeable and caring. the staff very kind and polite too.

Dr. Steinbeck has been my doctor now for quite sometime. I had a few difficult moments with him at times, where I felt like he was a bit uncaring, but it was more of a miscommunication. Dr. Steinbeck is extremely knowledgeable, nonjudgmental and thorough. I couldn't imagine having any other doctor.

Dr. Steibeck is one of only 2 people I would see if I were ever pregnant again. I just had a baby with his practice in Feb 2010. I think people do not understand that a doctor is not made to be your friend he's there to make sure everything goes right. Your health is a very serious concern and knowing that the doctor has your best interest in mind should be your main concern. Having had eclampsia with my first child My husband got very physical with staff so sometimes it is not the best place to have someone who cares about you in a situation where you could be at risk. they sometimes make things worse.Dr.STeinbeck was always very respectful and to the point. No nonsense was the feeling he gave you, which is good because in a life or dealth situation like what I could have faced that is what you need. Someone who can think on their toes, not a friend but a Doctor. And as for the staff I couldnt ask for a great bunch of ladies. Thank You to EveryOne!!!

It is a pleasure toe visit this office. The staff is caring and very helpful. I was having issues with Medco, they didn't give up till the problem was resolved. Wayne Steinbeck is a serious doctor but extremely well mannered and caring.

Not a bad doctor, but doesn't talk much. I started seeing him when I got pregnant for the first time. He kind of takes the excitement out of having a baby. Hes a capable doctor, but the conversations with him are limited to- all looks good.So, if you really want an ob/gyn who understands, listens and is nice- then this isnt the doc for you.

First, I have to say Dr. Steinbeck's staff in Edison is THE worst doctor's staff I have ever come into contact with. They walk around like zombies, are unprofessional and seem to openly dislike Dr. Steinbeck. Dr. Steinbeck himself is ok--good with questions, but not the most caring doctor you'll meet. The nurses at the hospital told me they consider Dr. Steinbeck to be "a tad aloof." Pregnancy is a scary time and I felt like Dr. Steinbeck could have done more to seem like he gave a hoot about my pregnancy and my concerns, instead of just going through the motions. Also, I felt like he scheduled my induction to serve his own schedule. Overall, I would not recommend Dr. Steinbeck.

The worst OB! I had a very difficult pregnancy and at 11 weeks was bleeding. He wouldn't allow my husband in the exam room with me. His staff was cold and uncaring. He has no bedside manner and is the worst doctor I've ever been to. I would NOT recommend him to anyone. I quickly switched OBs after that experience!
