Dr Chun is and excellent gynecologist. She attended to me in 2013 when I was pregnant of my son. So friendly, open, professional, etc. Actually I was sad when I heard that she left Fauquier hospital as I was planning to visit her again in the coming Aug.
As long as it will be possible , I will always sick her care as gynicologist

It took me years to write this, i did not know sites like this existed. Dr. Chung gets angry when you question her about anything. It did not matter what i was experiencing symptoms from, unusual and heavy bleading to severe pain. Everything was "normal" or i "just needed to loose weight" at the time i was only about 15 lbs over weight. She was always in such a rush. I was even told by the staff the the Dr. Requests that patients limit their concernes to two questions per visit! I can come for another appointment if i have additional questions. I dont say this lightly but she made me very nervous and i began to question myself. She was angry and rude the moment i said anything other than "yes" . After much begging and several appointments, i was finally able to get some tests done. She never called. Three weeks later,(after several calls from me) one was returned and i was told,"everything was fine". I got copies of reports, questioned things noted by the radiology dept and was told they were wrong. "See you next year". Thankfully, another Dr. Found my problems, several problems!!! and did my surgurey.

I have been seeing Dr. Chun for about 4 years. She delivered one of my children. She is an amazing doctor and I could ask for better. She actually takes the time to sit and talk to me every appointment. She is very intelligent and always helps make the right decisions for my care. She always remembers me and spends about 30 minutes with me every appointment. I have never had any issues and I will continue going to her.

My daughter and I both WENT to Dr. Chun. She is very nice, but when my daughter had an abnormal pap smear, Dr. Chun had to do a biopsy on my daughters cervix. I didn't know that's what they were doing, obviously they didn't explain it well to my 19 year old and I allowed her to go in the exam room on her own. She came out in tears!! It was so painful for her and scary. I would have gone in with her, had I known what they were going to do. There were no instructions after the procedure and no one told us what to expect, severe cramping and bleeding. It was traumatic for both of us. Plus the girls at the front desk are so rude in person and over the phone!! FYI another review mentioned ablation . . . a procedure she pushed on me, but I decided not to do, I'm doing Bio-identical hormone replacement instead. Check your facts before you fork over a lot of money to her for a procedure that you may not need.

Over the past 2 or so years, I can count the number of appointments on one hand and what I do remember does not leave a great impression on me. She is friendly yes...but I have gotten the impression that she thinks to highly of herself and because of her medical degree, a simple commoner such as me could not have the accuracy in determining my own reproductive health. I was aware of the symptoms of an bacterial infection as I had seen her about one prior. During the visit, I causally mentioned that this was going on and that I needed antibiotics. It was not until the examination began that she believed me, but not before a short lecture on my changing body. Seriously. I pay her once a year for an annual for 30 mins and SHE lectured me that my body was changing and the things I was saying were normal?? There were other problems and concerns as well but overall honestly, I am not impressed. My impression is that your a number and she's all about the money.

There is just too much to write here. I had three separate experiences with Dr. Chun, and I can really only say that one of them was okay. She was my doctor through two miscarriges and the pregnancy and birth of our second child. Though I don't question her technical skills as a physician, my conclusion after having used her services through so much is that she is mainly preoccupied with liability, and is MUCH less concerned with actually dealing with her patients in a caring way. Also she is quite condescending and doesn't seem to value a person's RIGHT to make their OWN medical decisions. When asked about her feelings about other methods, she is condescending. In my experience, she gets literally angry with someone who is not just taking her advice but doing research and making informed decisions for themselves. I wouldn't have minded a doctor who DISAGREED with me but RESPECTED my rights. Dr. Chun was not that doctor, and the next time I need an OBGYN I will be going elsewhere.

Dr. Chun was helpful with my pregnancy and after the pregnancy! She also notices just by seeing and talking to you if you have postpartum depression and she noticed the next time I went in for a checkup that I was doing better. Also during my pregnancy or whenever my husband comes along, she makes sure to answer his questions too.

Dr. Chun does not take the time to answer questions. She has her hand on the door before you can even get a decent answer from her. I learned more from Google than from her, and in fact, when I asked a few questions based on research I had done myself she said I was asking too many questions and became all defensive! She does not believe in natural childbirth and pushes her opinion on you. I had a horrible birthing experience due to her lack of care. Despite her doing more than one exam after I was admitted for labor she did not realize the baby was breach until I was ready to push--24 hrs after being in the labor room! She has a horrible bedside manner and brags about her low c-section rate, but I think this is a lie. I ended up with a c-section anyway.
