I found Dr Crackower to be very stern but fair in his assessment of my needs. No doubt the result of having to deal with the addictive nature of highly-controlled substances he sometimes prescribes. He is responsible for screening out the patients who abuse this privilege of "pain management." It is, therefore, understandable the strict screening process he must administer in order to do his job. This is often interpreted as "rudeness" unless one considers the drug-seeking behavior he is forced to contend with on a regular basis

I was new to the area, and needed to see a doctor for weight loss management after losing 50 pounds on my own and hitting a long plateau. Having never done medical weight loss intervention before, I had questions and concerns about the drugs. After a LONG wait, indifferent office staff, I FINALLY had him come in. He did not listen to a single word I said about my lifestyle/eating habits/exercise/previous weight loss. He maybe looked at me once, gave me a ridiculous diet plan (I'm a very healthy eater now) which has some glaringly outdated health inconsistencies. He wrote out a prescription for a weight loss drug. I asked him what the side effects are, and this a**hole had the audacity to say in a sarcastic tone, 'it will make you lose weight'. What?! What kind of doctor cannot (sorry, WILL NOT) answer a question about side effects of a seriously powerful drug???

Unfortunately, after taking the pills for one month I got very sick (not due to the medication) but after 4 weeks of pain I finally went back to him because I needed antibiotics and was desperate. Once again, super long wait, rude staff, and the man spoke MAYBE two words to me while he was in there. He wrote me three prescriptions (EXPENSIVE ONES! I didn't fill two of them, I couldn't afford to) and I walked away and never went back.

DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR! The reviewer who said 'he's the bestest doctor' is on crack. Or it's Crackower himself. Horrible. Arrogant. Complete jerk.

very slow. plan on being there waiting for him to get to work at 1 hour. then once he finally gets working seeing patients, you will still be sitting in the room wondering what is taking sooooooooooooo loooooooooong. very frustraring if you have a job to get to. very arrogant man. don't you know his time is way more valuable than yours? really?!

Dr. Sidney Crackower and his staff is so rude. I was under his care for pain management. When I first went to his office I told him I just needed to be seeing because, I had an appointment with my official pain management doctor and he said I am taking over. After months of care he cut my medication saying that he is under investigation which caused me poor management. It did not have to due with me it was due to his practice being under scrutiny. By far he is the worse I have ever encountered. Stay away from this doctor because, he is very rude and shady. He has even threatened me that if I default with his contract I would never be able to see another pain management doctor in the state of Louisiana.

Horrible bedside manor. Absolutely NO concern for patients. More concerned about money than your well-being. Has an in-house councillor who will refer you to Dr. Crackower; and here's the kicker: He is Dr. Crackower's significant other. Had I known this fact, or how Dr. Crackower treats his patients, I would never have gone. I noticed someone mentioned how he pushes the "age reversing wonder drug". You will probably also be interested to know that he's related to someone that does marketing work for the company that manufacturers the "drug", which is nothing more than over-priced herbal extracts. Stay far away from this doctor.
