Had both a cervical microforaminotomy and lumbar decompression this year due to osteoarthritis and both were extremely successful in all respects. I highly respect and recommend him.

Dr Gollogly performed a procedure on my lower spine in 2007. Up until then I had 10 years of level 8 pain. Since the surgery I have completely pain free. He changed my life.

He repaired my hip after an unlikely fall last week. Clear and informative style. He was both charming and relieable. I would recommend him without hisitation. Debra Skethley

He did not review any of the medical reports from the doctor that referred me; ordered that x-ray had been done, told me that surgery was available but the cost was $100,000 & as I didn't have insurance, we could pay the 100k or forget it . "Sorry the system is mean." What? The doctor was so COLD and dismissive! I then asked about the extreme pain I was in meanwhile & he said "I don't do (pain blocks) , but the guy next door does, but they are expensive too, so"...(forget that too) ; that due to my weight I would continue to degenerate over the next 10-15 years. He quickly refuted the medical findings that my weight gain was from uranium poisoning and said it came due to my "high American caloric intake diet" (i.e. you pig); he said that my high levels of pain were not "understandable" & as he "was fortunate to be from a family where he learned to have a higher pain threshold and so he probably would not have the same experience." What?

I visited Dr. Gollogly's office twice. Both times were terrible. The second time they called me 3 hrs before my appt to see if I could come in early, which was an inconvenience for me. I agreed because they said the doctor had to leave early for something important. I waited 20+ minutes then saw no proof of his leaving early and he saw another patient right after me. Office staff flirted and giggled with doctor. Very immature and unprofessional. Doctor was cold and brief. Got up and walked out without saying goodbye. I thought he was coming back! Took 4 phone calls and messages to get a response from his assistant. No follow up. Terrible experience.

I found my experience with Dr. Gollogly to be quite the opposite from the two above, he was very helpful and caring, he seemed to actually care about my situation.

He briefly viewed my MRI of my L-spine. He told me there was nothing wrong with me other than that I am fat and need to lose weight, but "without patients like you I would be out of a job." I was about 20 pounds overweight with a 7 month old. give me a break! My husband showed my scan to one of the radiologists he works for and she noticed that something didn't look right and they scanned me again. Turns out I have a cyst on my spinal cord, right where the pain is! I saw this jerk in a restaurant after I received competent medical care from one of his colleagues. I told him he probably doesn't remember "all of the fatties" that have back pain, but that he dismissed me even though I have a cyst in my spinal cord. He didn't have anything to say, but it felt really good to confront him. I have heard similar stories from others. It seems if you don't need surgery, he isn't interested in diagnosing you.

At first I thought Dr. Gollogly was great, he seemed very helpful but almost immidiatley refered me to another physician in his office. After some treatment with the other physician that did not help my condition I went back to Dr. Gollogly to see if there were any further options. This time he was very short with me, seemed extremely critical & unreliable. I say this because in a previous report regarding an MRI that was done he said that there was a slight buldge between my L5-S1 joints that was pushing more on the right side of the nerve root than on the left. However in my last appointmet with him, when he seemed very critical, he said he looked over the MRI & this time told me that there was nothing wrong with me. When I asked him about his previous remarks he said to me, and I quote, "Well what I say at first isn't always what I decide later." And he pretty much dismissed me at that time. He is very unreliable and I do not recommend anyone go to him.
