I wish I would have seen these reviews prior to wasting my money on a visit with this doctor. I too had issue with him. Came in for new problem I was having with tinnitus, was immediately sent for hearing test of which I was told just ever so slight high end hearing loss on one side and that exposure to loud sound 10 years prior wouldn't be current issue with tinnitus. Audiologist figured doctor would set me up for further testing to find out what the problem could be since she didn't believe my ever so minor hearing issue was the problem. Back in his office he quickly pointed out that apparently that WAS my entire issue, and I was told be to listen to some background music to overcome it, try to ignore it...office visit over...no further testing. Doctor did not listen to my other concerns over neck pain etc. He apparently has lost his concern over patients and no longer wishes to help people in his medical field!!!!! Don't waste your money seeing him as I did. I am sure there are many other younger doctors who actually want to help their patients out there. Perhaps it's time Dr. Katz retired! I have never written a single review over any doctor or device ever online, but felt it was important to warn others. Perhaps someday this guy will experience the same suffering.

Worst bedside manners of any doctor I have ever met. My experience mimicks many of the others here. Had no regard for my concerns or questions. Every questions I asked, his answer was "don't know". Went in for ear ringing. Had a great experience with the Audiologist. And then Dr. Katz treated me like complete bother and idiot.

problem 1: scheduling with Cleveland Clinic. We asked about Thyroid issue. I got Dr. Katz who is an ENT who does not do Thyroid. Arriving at the office with his grumpy staff and a very long wait. Problem 2: Dr. Katz. He seemed to parse out the problem I stated to hear only what he was interested in. Somehow during a visit with a Thyroid concern, I could only talk to him after a hearing test which no surprise was fine. He said to go back to talk to GP for Thyroid and any other symptom that didn't interest him. As long as we were with him, mentioned a tinnitus problem. His solution, turn up the TV or radio. Problem 3: he is confused. To top off a visit that was a big waste of time and money, he handed me a form as I was leaving. I looked at it when I got home - it is the personal health record of another patient! 3 strikes and he's out.

Appointment waslate. Gave me a quick diagnosis of tinnitus with no explanation other than there was no cure. He then jumped up and left. I was left on my own to learn about it.

If you have an ear infection he will give you drops and antibiotics, tell you a joke and send you on your way. This describes my first two visits. BUT when I had hearing loss after the infection and asked him a question, he became gruff and angry. He just repeated himself prefacing with -No, you apparently are not understanding me... When I asked a second question, "Why did your audiologist say xyz about my right ear? He did not answer, only shook his head and handed me the chart saying "Give this to the desk on your way out." It was as if my trying to understand MY condition and asking him TWO questions infuriated him. I will never go back. He needs to retire.

Right when he walked in it seemed like I was being interrogated. His final diagnostic was that all my other doctors were wrong and to come in when I was sicker. It's possible he's right, but I just didn't feel comfortable at all. His staff was fantastic though, very welcoming and helpful in the visit.
