This physician sees my parents in an assisted living. When one of them got sick & it wasn't her one day of the month to come, I asked to bring him to her office. She told me she doesn't see pts in an office. Our family member has been in the ER 6 times this year because she deems it necessary. Twice he did need to go & was kept because of pneumonia. This last time was the worst. She insisted that he go to the ER b/c he had a "critical WBC" of 21.7. Ok, first of all, they call critical labs to MD in 30 min. Lab was drawn at 5am & reported to the facility at close to 8pm. Second, I have worked a hospitals that consider 50 to be critical and a couple that consider 30 to be critical, but never 21.7. Yes, that would be an infection, but not critical. Third, if its critical, it says critical ON THE REPORT! It didn't. He had no temp, felt fine and had to be drug out 9pm - 2am to the ER b/c if we didn't agree to take him she would have an ambulance come. At the ER, his WBC was 10.7!! Normal!!

I highly respect Dr. Thomas-Slade. She is smart, efficient, outspoken but not condescending, great doctor! When Cornerstone closed our office, I called them. I spoke up for this fine physcian and where ever she goes, she will be an asset in the community. I will miss her so much!! She is a kind, caring doctor.....

It is nearly impossible to get an appointment within a timely manner. The office staff is very unorganized and unprofessional. Dr. Thomas-Slade is often very outspoken and makes inappropriate comments from time to time with no regards to professionality. She is a very knowledgeable doctor however, but has terrible bedside manners so to speak.

Dr. Thomas-Slade is a very compassionate doctor, but her staff needs to move up a little instead of leaving messages on their desks for a week before Dr. Thomas-Slade gets them!

She's outstanding. She listens and is also very conscious of the cost of the prescriptions she prescribes. She takes her time listening to you which consequently enables her to assess the problem without needing unnecessary expensive tests to diagnose the problem. If a test is ordered then it's with good reason not the trial & error games other doctors do which run the cost of health care and your pocketbook.

She is the best doctor I have ever had. She LISTENS. She remembers things from one visit to the next. She takes all the time you need and is never in a hurry. She sincerely wants to help the patient.
