I have had Dr. Barreth for both of my deliveries. With my first, my Son was posterior and having a hard time with his heart rate. I had to make some pretty big decisions to ensure that he would be okay. In the end Dr. Barreth called the OR to be ready and when I looked at him and told him I wanted to try to push longer he stayed with me the entire time and it was like a full on rugby feild cheering me on. I asked for help and he used the vacuum to help him out which was needed and helped my son turn just a little to give his head more space to come out.

Fast forward to 18 months later. My little girl was to arrive. I didn’t want another induction but the day came. He wanted to induce with Pitocin. I said I would rather not and he gave me two other options. I asked for him to break my waters. I went on to have a short labour of 1h 20min. When he arrived and I was pushing, I reached down and caught my daughter with him close by.

He did excellent repairs and cared deeply for our experience as new parents.

I can’t thank him enough. It’s a woman’s right to make choices for her baby and her body. When I said “no” to him he didn’t make a fuss he just found alternative ways and gave me all of my options so I could make an informed choice. I wish every doctor could see the great work they do like you do Drew. Thank you!

Did all the appropriate testing for infertility. Didn't try unnecessary medical intervention and quickly referred us to a fertility clinic when it was time.

Dr. Barreth is a live saver. He treated me for pre-cervical cancer and a few years later I required a hysterectomy which he did the surgery. I've been pain free for two years now. He's extremely knowledgeable and actually listens to you. Amazing doctor!

Dr barreth is more than amazing. Was misdiagnosed by my family doctor , he took one look and knee exactly what was wrong and how to fix it . 1 month post op (which he did himself) and my problem is fixed .. wonderful doctor . His bedside manner was great and his humor helped me feel comfortable the whole time . 10/10 would recommend .

Dr. Barreth is awesome! I am forever grateful that I was referred to him. During my consultation Dr. Barreth he gave me several options to choose from to help me with my condition, in the end I chose the route of a hysterectomy. Dr. Barreth took the time to explain in detail the process of the procedure and asked me if I had any questions. On the day of the surgery I was feeling very anxious, Dr. Barreth came by before the surgery to make sure I was doing okay. His humour was a breath of fresh air for me. After surgery Dr. Barreth again stopped by to see how I was doing, this really shows me how he genuinely cares about his patients and their well being. With his witty humour Dr. Barreth is the most personable, knowledgeable and compassionate doctor that I’ve ever met. My experience with him & his staff was top notch!

Amazing doctor. Took the time to help me find solutions to my difficult medical issues. When it came time to have surgery, introduced me to every person in the surgical suite, made sure they knew all of any of my conditions and and preferences. Addressed me by name and made everything feel like I was with people who cared about making sure everything about me was perfect. I would recommend him to anyone and would send my daughters to him when they are ready. He listens to his patients and makes you feel understood.
