She’s always been caring Has taken great care of me and my family. Has called me at home more than once concerning tests that were done. I’m grateful that she’s my family doctor.

Dr. Gillies has been my family’s and I’s family doctor since I was young and she has helped myself and my family immensely. I now have children of my own and I happened to run into her while out in public and I discussed my concerns about my child and she worked immediately right there to write down the information to get into contact with a specialist who can help. She then called us on a Sunday to say she sent the referral and to expect a call. With her taking the time to help us I really know it helped my daughters overall health. I’ll forever be grateful for Dr. Gillies for her hard work, especially on her time off as it was and that the ball got rolling quickly. She also took my husband on as a patient which is VERY nice because I know not every doctor does. She’s amazing and I appreciate having her as my doctor.

Terrible doctor. She does not listen to you. She actually hijacks your appt by talking about her daughter, or her sister, or her father, or her husband, or one of her friends. Seriously, I don’t care about the people in her life — their experience is not mine! She has a terrible habit of ignoring the physical symptoms of a diagnosed disorder by suggesting the symptoms are instead symptoms of depression. She is patronizing and dismissive. For some odd reason she is reluctant to refer to specialist or to consult with other doctors, yet she will admit that she has limited knowledge about your condition & will actually tell you her specialty lies in geriatrics with an interest in mental health. Her staff are rude. The nurses all behave like you are inconveniencing them & taking them away from something more important, yet when you are waiting for Dr. Gillies you can hear them chatting about other patients. Dr. Gillies wait time is on usual 1 - 1 and a half hours. I think if she spent less time talking about herself & her family/friends that would be remedied.

I do not have anything positive to say about her. Getting an appointment with her almost seems impossible. She called me obese (which I am not) all due to my weight being higher than when I last seen her (I’m 22 and I saw her last when I was 17 years old). She seems to think that there is nothing wrong with me even though other doctors have confirmed. If it wasn’t for the wait time for a new family doctor, I would be gone a long time ago. She is ignorant and unprofessional. I DO NOT RECOMMEND HER AT ALL

She is not concerned about your problems. I am trying to get urgent care for my elderly parent and she DOESN'T listen. This is a dangerous situation.

Anyone who had a positive experience with this doctor should consider themselves rare and lucky. I found her to be caring when she first started, but somewhere along the way, she morphed into a terrible, mean-spirited, weird woman. I had terrible pain which I knew to be connected to a documented, verified infection. In other words, I had a tangible, treatable, real world condition. Instead of providing health care, Dr. Gillies asked me if I'd been abused as a child, insinuating that that was the cause of my pain. Even lab reports weren't enough to convince her that my condition was not psychosomatic, or related to childhood trauma. At one point the pain was so awful, I admitted that I was exhausted by it and feeling hopeless, and she accused me of being "dramatic". I left her and went to a real doctor instead. Best decision I ever made, because then I received real treatment for a real medical problem. (And he never once asked me if I'd been sexually abused, he actually read my medical reports and did real diagnostic work, duh). Horrible woman, useless GP. I don't know why Timmins has such a bumper crop of morons, but holy cow, be careful who you go to and don't be afraid to get a second opinion if something doesn't seem right or you are not getting proper care. Run, don't walk, to another doctor, if you can get one.

She is not qualified to look after your loved one, or you. She doesn't care and she does listen to find out what the problem is. My mother suffered needlessly in her last months doe to this doctor's lack of empathy and skill. Having shared staff that is polite should NOT be included on how this doctor is rated.

Firstly she seems to care very little for any patient concerns, if you have questions regarding the medications prescribed she’ll repeat that she’s the doctor and that you shouldn’t waste her time with these questions and refuses to answer them. She’s very disrespectful, she had asked about my relationship status and knew i was with the same partner for years, we broke up and I ended up with someone 6 months later, she asks about this every meeting and ended ended up telling me that I’m a s/lutbecause 6 months is too early in her opinion, this was in her office. On top of that I told her that I’ve had joint pains and she told me it wasn’t a valid reason to see a doctor. I went to see her after a toe injury and my toenail bad started growing funny she said to me “well you should have cut your toenails right” and said it isn’t something she wanted to deal with.
