They gave me cortisone shots on both feet then operated on both now having issues and wouldn't help with my fmla papers. Told me I needed to find another job. Been their 12 years working towards a pension. Must be nice

Had foot surgery. Was supposed to be done by Dr Zelen but from everything I have found out, another doctor did it. Did the after surgery visits a few times. Was still not right after a year so I made an appointment specifically with with Dr Zelen. Went to said appointment after waiting several weeks and was told he was not there. If I wanted I could reschedule or see one of the residents. Saw the resident who did not listen nor did he seem to know anything. I will NOT go back to that office! And, like others have said, the staff is RUDE! Now I'm looking for a real Foot and Ankle Orthopedic MD (real surgeon doctor).

Great excellent doctor and staff. The resident doctors are great as well. Very helpful..listens and answers your questions. Staff is very friendly. Thankful to have found Dr Zelen to save my foot. No other doctors were willing to try now. He is a God send to me. I highly recommend him to everyone.

Had 2 surgeries, because the first one wasn't done correctly.....still not right, but will have to live with it. You never get to see him after your surgery. Rude receptionist, and staff.... never go to this doctor!!

I have been a patient of Dr Zelen, since 2007 he is the most knowledgeable and professional Dr that I have ever seen. He listens and explains things very well! I would recommend anyone with ankle or foot problems yo him! He is not afraid to take on any foot problem, I have talked to a lot of patients over the years that other Dr's have missed up and Dr Z has fixed their problems and beyond. I would put him up against any Dr in the country!

I went to Dr Zelen in 2006 after a doctor in Richmond really Stoney Point Virginia completely screwed up foot after a ankle fusion. His name was Dr Timonthy Zimmer. DR ZIMMER FUSIONED MM Y FOIT IN THE POSITION LIKE IT WOULD BE IF YOU WERE WEARING HIGH HEELS AND IT WAS TURNED INWARD. I COULDN'T WALK AT ALL, SO I WENT TO OTHER DOCTORS IN THE RICHMOND AREA AND THEY SAID THAT MY LEG NEEDED TO BE CUT OFF THATS HOW BAD THAT DR ZIMMER MESSED IT UP, SO I FOUND DR ZELEN AND HE SAVED MY FOOT, HE DID RECONSTRUCTION TO GET IT AS FLAT AS POSSIBLE AND FIXED THE POSITION THEN AFTER A 2 MONTHS DID AN ANKLE REPLACEMENT. I DO HAVE MASSIVE NERVE DAMAGE BUT THAT WAS LIKE THAT BEFORE I WENT TO DR ZELENAND HE TO L D ME THAT THERE WASNT HAVING YOU DO ABOUT THAT . IF I WERE TO GIVE ANY ADVICE IT WOULD BE TO NEVER GET A FUSION ON ANKLE GO GET ANKLE REPLACEMENT THEN IT WORK LIKE IT SHOUKD, THEY DONT DO FUSIONS ON KNEES OR HIPS SO AN ANKLE SHOULDNT HAVE ONE, ANKLE REPLACEMENT IS THE ONLY WAY TO GO,. DR. ZELEN SAVED MY FOOT AND IT DIDNT SWELL LIKE IT BEFORE CAUSE HE PUT A DRAIN IN WHILE IN HOSPITALS TO DRAIN ALL THE BLOOD THAT WOULD OTHERWISE BE IN THEREFORE SWELLING IT UP LIKE A BALLON, DR ZELEN IS GREAT HIS STAFF NEEDS TO LEARN HOW TO BE MORE EFFICIENT AND POLITE
