This is the most unprofessional doctor I've EVER met. I had an Endoscopy and Colonoscopy done at 28 years old. She withheld the fact that I have H. Pylori and I couldn't digest for over 8 years and after I finally got my treatment I know have H. Pylori. I hope this doctor burns in hell.

Dr, Zettle has been my Dr. (proctologist) for a number of years and had performed numerous colonoscopy's on me. I will not go to any other Dr. for a colonoscopy. Dr. Zettle is the best in my opinion. As good as she is I had never thought of it being a great experience until I had a major hemerroid problem which required emergency attention. I was sent to McMaster by my GP and had a colonoscopy performed there ,and then transferred to Jurvinski for tests, and during my 6 day stay had two colonoscopy's performed there. I was given the colonoscopy's by the same Dr. at Mac and at Jurvinski and I thought I was going to die. I cannot explain the pain and trauma I experienced at the hands of another Dr. The worst experience of my life and made my life even worse to the point I needed emergency surgery at the General about two months later. Dr Zettle is the best.

I recently underwent hernia surgery with Dr. Zettel at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital. I read reviews prior to my consultation that expressed concerns about her bedside manner. After meeting Dr. Zettel, I can understand why some people feel this way. She's very blunt and gets right to the point. Any questions you have are answered with confidence and hard statistical facts. Personally, this is exactly the kind of demeanor I want to see in a surgeon. I don't want them second-guessing anything and it was apparent she had considerable experience with the procedure. She doesn't beat around the bush and will be realistic about the risks involved with your procedure. I can see how this could be perceived as cold, but again, I appreciated the no-nonsense approach. Her receptionist, Debbie, is amazing. She's kind, considerate, and was able to schedule my surgery quickly and efficiently. I received calls reminding me of appointments and my surgery date. Her phone manners were top notch. As for the actual surgery, the nurses in the day surgery unit put me at ease quickly by cracking a few jokes. They quickly and efficiently got me ready for surgery and explained exactly how the day would progress. Once I was ready for the operating room, Dr. Zettel greeted me with a smile and answered a few last-minute questions I had. The procedure went exactly as planned and my incision was flawless. I've healed extremely well and there were no signs of infection or issues. I received a follow-up call from Dr. Zettel, just to see how I was doing a month later. She answered a few questions I had and the conversation was much more light-hearted this time around now that the procedure is over. I would recommend Dr. Zettel and her staff at the hospital are fantastic.

As I am skeptical of any reviews anymore I can only reflect my experience. I was referred to Dr Zettel by my family physician. From the very first visit, I was drawn into the sincere warmth and professionalism of both Debbie and Dr Zettel. I was scheduled for my first colonoscopy and although I had no idea what to expect, the "dash and purge" is the worst, the actual procedure was without a doubt amazing. The anesthetist, nurses and Dr, were considerate kind and efficient. I had the chills and was immediately provided with a warm blanket, the whole procedure from arrival to exit was within 4 hours. I had no discomfort, no gas pains and in fact have no recollection of any of the procedure. Which is what you do want- a clean outcome so to speak. How fortunate we are to live in Canada.

When refered to Dr. Zettel, not knowing anything about her, I checked her reviews. Some good and some "not so good". I must admit that, although apprehensive at first, I can't say enough good about her. Her receptionist was very up beat, friendly and efficient. Dr. Zettel, on my first visit, fully explained the procedure and was more than willing to answer any questions I had. The surgery went extremely well with no complications. I just recently had my one month post-op and have no quams in recommending Dr. Zettel to anyone. She's great in my books!

We are currently dealing with the fallout of Dr. Zettel's lack of competency. We went to her with a problem which has now been diagnosed. When she claimed nothing was wrong, despite obvious, recurring symptoms, I questioned her on it. She does not like being questioned that's for sure!! She knows it all, do not dare question her. We are now seeing a proper specialist who has gone the steps required for a proper diagnosis. Too bad there has been weekly suffering in the meantime. Rude and incompetent.

Dr Lenore Zettel is by far the best general surgeon in the area. Personable, caring, dedicated and knowledge, she genuinely wants you to feel better. She takes your health and well being very seriously. She gives advice without pushing you. I was diagnosed with breast cancer not too long ago and she helped me so much with the whole process. Again Dr Zettel, thank you, thank you, thank you...

Run don’t walk from this doctor. She is incompetent and will be a waste of your time. If you ask questions she becomes arrogant and defensive. Do yourself a favour and ask for another doctor. If I could give zero stars I would.

Dr. Zettel performed a simple colonoscopy on my husband in February of 2017. It was apparent the next day that something was wrong as the pain was getting worse instead of better and he started running a small fever. It was the weekend but we knew Dr. Z had office hours on Monday so we waited and went to Grimsby ER Monday. By then he couldn’t stand or lay down without severe pain. The ER Dr. said he felt something, possibly a hemorrhoid . . . 3 days after a Colinoscopy?!? We asked him to inform Dr. Z we were there but she refused to come downstairs to the ER. We were sent home with antibiotics. We tried to leave a message for Dr. Z as my husband got steadily worse but no call back. Finally I took my husband to St. Joseph Hospital in Hamilton where they performed emergency surgery. Dr. Z had perforated his bowel and almost killed him, all of which she denied of course during follow up appointment. RUN FROM HER!
