Dr Schouls has such a pleasant personality and very reassuring. She explained everything very thoroughly and easy to understand. Had various options for my issues. I would highly recommend her. Thank you Dr Schouls for finely giving me some answers.

I started getting help from Dr Schouls almost a year ago for my fibroids. On my first meeting she was super helping on trying to find solutions to stay away from surgery. We tried for a year but the fibroids kept growing. I did surgery on March 5th. I was nervous before the surgery and she took the time to meet me and explain again what she was going to do. The surgery was a huge success and my scars are so small. I am so happy with how everything turned out!! Her staff was also super helping every time I called.

THE DOCTOR PERFORMED UNECESSARY SURGERY ON ME FOR NOTHING BUT THE MONEY. She took advantage of me. She knew that I had no fibroids but did the surgery anyway, then telling me after that she didnt see any fibroids! She cut me open, left scars and indents, and i wadnt told ahead of time by her that she woukd blow up my stomach with air in order to see everything inside me. My tummy IS BEYOND DISFIGURED.

I was referred for some unexplained menopausal bleeding. She was knowledgeable, practical and while I wouldn't describe her as "warm" she did show empathy and asked me if I'd be ok with the exams she needed to do and was gentle when she did them. I've had 2 follow ups and she's phoned me at the end of her day on more than one occasion.
Some of the posts here may deter you but my experience was very very good. I think we underestimate what it takes to juggle as a doctor and that while it's science, the body is a complicated organism. No doctor gets it right 100% of the time.

She denied my symptoms as if my experience of constant pain, which has paralyzed my life , is merely a psyche or fake story. She is very irresponsible towards the process of diagnosis and recognition of patients concerns and symptoms. She maintains a bandaid approach to silence the medical case of a patient. She serves status que and economic interest of the public health system.

I had surgery for a suspected ectopic pregnancy and had to have laparoscopy done. Dr. Schouls did a great job, she was thorough to explain and made me feel at ease about it. We were really devastated but Dr. Schouls explained the situation which put us at ease. She personally called my husband when I finished surgery. And called me after with blood results. We hope to continue seeing her.

Dr. Schouls was my OB/GYN for my pregnancy but did not deliver me at LGH - she is wonderful, even if brief during her appointments, she is open to answer all questions and doesn't make you feel small or silly for some of them! Dr. Schouls did follow up with me at the hospital after my delivery which was also a great touch and made me feel more cared for.
