Dr. K's specialty appears to be diseases of the blood. My husband is being treated for brain cancer. Dr. K has not given him a thorough plan for nausea prevention or treatment of rash that results from chemotherapy. He spends the office visit reading the notes on the computer and clicking on the computer. We're looking for another oncologist.

Dr K. is an amazing doctor if you have a serious or complex disease. I had a DVT 7 years ago and have been on Coumadin since then (aka I am not a priority in the grand scheme of sick people, which I understand.) My last two appointments I have had to wait over two hours to see Dr. K. six months ago I had a 2PM appt. and did not leave until 5:00 PM. (by that time I was so stressed I was crying as I walked out of the comprehensive cancer center.) My next experience was this week. I waited one hour and asked the desk how much longer; they told me the were no rms available and he had one person before me. 45 minutes later I was experiencing anxiety due to the nature of the waiting rm and the fact that I had to return to work. I told them I needed to go and asked if his nurse could call me about my tests. No one called me. this was a Monday and I had a very high INR on Friday. I had to contact my PCP and she got back to me on Wed. Wow. Went to PCP today and Dr. K listed me as a"no show!"

Dr. Krijanovski has been my treating physician for acute leukemia for more than one year. Of all the many doctors I have seen, including those at Stanford, he is the one to whom I would give the highest recommendation. Dr. Krijanovski is kind, caring and treats me like an individual. He is intelligent, knowledgeable, creative and thoughtful. Sometimes I am unable to understand his jokes, but who cares? We laugh anyway.

Dr. Krijanovski, or "Dr. K" as I call him, has been the most amazing doctor I have ever had. Not only is he caring, and understanding, but he gave me his cell phone number and if I have questions or need anything he is there for me! He is my 4th hematologist and by FAR the best doctor and by now someone I consider a friend. He is always available, timely, caring, and there isn't enough space to say all the great things about him, his staff, and his treatment. I wish there were more like him!

He was an excellent doctor in diagnosing my mom with a rare bone condition. He was thorough in both taking the history and his lab tests to get to the bottom of my mom's disorder that no other hematologist could answer.

I was referred as a result of an unexplained DVT. Dr Krijanovski spent about an hour on my medical history (family as well) - relatively uncomplex except for my father's history of DVT. Blood analysis indicates a genetic factor for increased risk. The therapeutic treatment for the DVT has been successful and I am forwarned or the increased risk. Dr Krijanovski was very forthcoming in the followup session

He orders tons of unnecessary tests, but was unable to diagnose my dad. Very unprofessional in bone marrow biopsy. My dad was like a blood donor while in his care at Alta Bates hospital. We had a very bad experience with this doctor. He should follow my dad on a outpatient basis, but he never even set-up an appointment, never followed up my dad's labs.
