Practice is run very poorly. It's almost impossible to get in to see him. Husband has needed to see his physician twice in 5 years. Both times unable to see him had to go and be seen either at after hours or emerge. Now he has needed to see him again. Unable to get in had to go to emerge problem still not resolved from a week of antibiotics but again being told they can make an appt in about a month. This is ridiculous. What the point of a family doctor if you can't actually see them.

Dr. Petrosoniak not only goes out of his way to spend extra time with you and listens to your concerns, he also cares very much for his patients. He is one of the few doctors that I know who makes sure to visit any of his patients who end up in Ross Memorial Hospital overnight, whether to give birth or to have surgery done. He goes above and beyond his call of duty. He also very thoroughly tests you to be sure he is healing you properly and isn't missing anything critical. Much better than someone taking out their notebook and writing a prescription right away. I've had a number of health issues that only Dr. Petrosoniak has been able to solve and owe him much. Would recommend him to anyone any day! I hope he continues his practice for many years to come. And for anyone who comments about his punctuality, I believe it's because he does care and is willing to spend the extra time with his patients who need it. Really listens and hears you out. I'd take that over feeling rushed through an appointment!

I went to (when he was my doctor) Dr.Petrosoniak repeatatively over a three year period complaining of cramps, bleeding ect.... I was told I was overreacting and wasting his time. With the help of his secretary, he finally performed a PAP test that came back positive of cancer. I had the cancer removed, and have been cancer free since then. But I cannot have any more children since then. I have one child and the Doc filed a complaint to CAS, cause my ex asked him to and I was investigated, and later closed. Was an unfounded complaint. I am not a poor women. I work hard, but I was a smoker at the time. I was treated badly by Dr. Petrosoniak

I have been a patient of Dr. Petrosoniak almost since the beginning of his practice here in Lindsay and he has consistently been most helpful, knowledgeable, and always concerned about the needs of myself and my family. I am pleased with the care my family and I have received. He is a very caring and dedicated doctor and has just become far too busy over the past few years. We are indeed fortunate to have him in our community.

Dr. Petro is one of the veru few who show great wisdom as well as knowledge. By this I mean that Dr. Petro is quick to admit when he doesn't know something, and will make every effort to find a factual answer to the question. He has wonderful communication skills and is a very caring family man, concerned and involved in his community to better our living conditions. Was almost single-handedly instrumental (when it wasn't popular at all) in the smoking cessation program! Bravo Petro for all of the energy you expended on your community's behalf. Thank you for all you do!

He is very helpful with any questions you have. Also willing to take the time to explain any problems you may have. He is willing to find the answers to your questions and can admit when he doesn't know.

this man misdiagnosed my 80 year old father's lip sores as cold sores even though they were growing at a staggering rate and spread the entire bottom lip. after suffering with this for months the lip perforated and he ended up in Toronto to have what turned out to be cancer cut from his lip. now my father is disfigured and his speech in inaudible and his false teeth no longer fit, his mouth can barely open and he can no longer eat a lot of the foods he enjoys. cold sores??? maybe it's time for a refresher course at med school.

Has been my doctor for many years, and also for my sons and their children - three generations of very satisfied patients. A very caring doctor who never rushes you through. We are very fortunate to have a doctor who is so dedicated to giving quality care to all his patients.
