He may be a great doctor but there is a 6 month waiting list to see him . If you are a cancer patient you may be dead before you can see him .

Dr Spooner is a kind and knowledgeable ND. I just started seeing and the path I am on is so much better than antibiotics for 2 months! Appreciate his expertise!’

Doctor Spooner is a great doctor. He's kind and respectful to me as an adult and to our teenager. I saw him many years ago once and it was easy to get in to see him I also had to wait six weeks to get in to see him this time but it has been well worth it. The first visit he just nailed the medication properly that I could take and there's many I can't take because I throw up everything and he found something I could put in my applesauce that has made an incredible difference in my life. Because of my severe nausea and pain there are many drugs I cannot use at all and I needed a physician who knows a lot about cannabis. He knows a lot more than any other doctors I have met in this area. I have multiple issues and I have found that many doctors do not have the patience to deal with that. Doctor Spooner is able to work on various types of things and has a lot of knowledge in a variety of areas.
When you have Lyme disease you go through a lot of doctors a lot of medications and a lot of things and I find some of the naturopaths charge exorbitant amounts of money. Doctor Spooners rates I find are very reasonable and I have paid much more for visits and supplements At other clinics.

It is refreshing to be able to deal with a real human being whose genuine caring shows. Too often we, the public are treated like a number to be rushed thru the system while our wallets are being gouged!

I love the care that Dr. Spooner gives . He won't make you feel rushed ever and awsers all questions. He has helped my husband with bone on bone in his knee after a knee Dr. Would not do a replacement because of his work and he was to young that he'd ware though them to quick . The knee Dr. Told him to take more pain killers and learn to live with it. He was in such pain he could not sleep for months and could hardly walk let alone work to make a living for 3 young kids. The Pro and PRP that Dr.spooner has used on him have been giving him relief and healing . He dose not have to take pain killers anymore and can run after kids !!

For me Dr.spooner has helped with pro in my hip that was an injury from years ago when I was young. I had gone thro lots of pro with Dr. S in Kelowna who helped a ton but having spooner closer and a little more cost friendly has worked out well.

Next we'll be seeing him with a family for cancer treatment just wish it didint take so long to get in to see him. When dealing with the unknown everyday counts !!!

Thanks so much Dr.Spooner and team !!!

I had the opportunity to meet Dr. Spooner with my sister who was just diagnosed with cancer. I only attended this initial meeting and was very impressed with his demeanour and conversation concerning my sister’s situation. He talked a lot about working with oncologist around issues in which cancer patients find themselves. He spoke about alternatives to help with some of her discomfort of pain and her issue round her life long issue of having edema. He gave us reading material and stated that he could not prescribe anything to her until her results from the cancer clinic came in. He gave her a sheet to fill out with everything she was eating for two weeks as he said next time he seen her he could review her diet to see how she was getting nutrients everyday. Each day I helped my sister with her healthy eating needs and filled out the forms as required.
My sister then had her 2nd week appointment, which she attended and had brought her forms with her. She was very disappointed in this next meeting as she felt he did not look at her diet, nor did he address some of her issues of edema which he said on her first meeting he would address when he seen her diet. She told me the whole meeting he just talked about other things he was researching and gave her a bunch of print outs which she said she could not make sense of on how this was in reference to her situation.
Upon hearing this news I thought to myself, how can oncologist/dieticians and other cancer researcher take naturopath seriously if this is the treatment they are receiving. I would think the second meeting he would have been prepared for her visit and understood from materials sent to him about her condition and her diet sheet that he would talk about what his recommendation would be. Weather she takes his advice is secondary, as she felt she was not informed enough about anything. Being prepared for clients and their condition is the only way one can feel good about paying a fee where something is established and learnt from each other. Otherwise it is all for not when a connection is not made and naturopath research is not understood.

Chris Spooner's response
This s always a challenging situation when the situation is so complex with many different issues to address. Unfortunately, when there is a lot of complicated information, it's difficult to avoid information overload, which, I believe is what has happened here.

To prevent this I give lots of documentation and handouts that summarize what we've discussed. In addition, I always make sure to ask patients if they have any questions and if I've addressed all their concerns. This is always followed with a request to please call me if they have any questions at all and I never charge for these phone consultations.
