I was a patient of Dr Offutt's for 12 years. I like Dr Offutt; I believe she is knowledgeable & cares for her patients for the most part. The biggest problem is her front end staff which changes continuously. I have been on a physically addictive medicine for over 12 years, she said it would take 6 months for me to come off of safely, she dropped me as a patient over a $75 bill (which was paid 5 days later than I promised due to Hurricane Harvey), forcing me to come off the medicine in half the time. Ethical?? Not?? I will let you decide. Dr Offutt lets each member of her staff vote for one patient they would like to drop. She told me that a member of her staff voted for me to be dropped every month. She said it was just a personality issue & I agree, the employee & I did not get along. I guess the employee finally got her wish. Kind of an odd way for a doctor to decide who to keep as patients but I guess it works for them.

I have never written a review about a Dr. before but this is so bad I felt I needed to warn people. I should have read the reviews here first.

I went to Dr. Offutt for Bio Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy. I had heard for many years that this could be helpful for me so I finally took the plunge. I had a few symptoms when I started. Dr. Offutt seemed to be a very warm and compassionate person. I was encouraged that she may be able to help with some issues. I never saw or spoke with Dr. Offutt after my initial visit.
After they put me on hormones I could not pin them down on when I should have future blood work or appointments, I tried 3 times. From what others told me I expected follow up labs and dosage adjustments. After about a month I told them I was having some new symptoms from the hormones and was told to give it some time. In the meantime I had some pressing issues come up so I decided that when my refills ran out they would clue me in on more blood work and appointments. It happened just like that, no refills until I talked to them. I told them that I was still having some new symptoms from the hormones. I had been on the treatment 5 months by now with NO follow-up. This time they told me that my hormones needed to be adjusted. They DOUBLED one hormone. They did not have an appointment available for 2 ½ months. I was instructed to increase my dose and get labs 2 weeks before my appointment. A few weeks after doubling the dose I ended up having every menopausal symptom in the book to the extreme, I was on a physical and emotional roller coaster. I beat my head against a wall trying to get help from their office; I got quite hysterical with them. Dr. Offutt and her nurse were both on vacation. When I finally got the other doctor in the office on the phone (4 days later) what he told me to do turned out to be the total wrong thing to do. That was on a Friday, after doing what he said, it was so bad by Sunday I almost checked myself into a mental hospital.
The doctor came back from vacation but no one from their office followed up. I am weaning myself off the hormones by myself at this point and am slowly feeling better.

When I went to Dr Offutt I was in boarderline bad health. I was begining to get high blood pressure, my cholestrol was on the rise and my energy levels were low.
