This man has to be THE RUDEST doctor in Perth. He is arrogant, condescending and just a really awful person to deal with. He has no idea of partnering with you in your health journey and he thinks he is God. Should never have been allowed to be a doctor.

Very inconsistent manner. One visit helpful, next terse and unhelpful

If you have the misfortune to be referred to Quentin Summers, a man not skilled in communication, smugly arrogant and totally lacking in the milk of human kindness, do not despair as there are other respiratory specialists in Perth who do meet the standards of patient care you should expect from a highly paid professional. Prof Richard Bremner is one whom I can highly recommend.

Manner/ communication were unsatisfactory. I did not continue with him after feeling somewhat dismissed. Unfortunately there were serious consequences for me.

Unfortunately, Dr Summers fits the stereotype of the arrogant specialist perfectly. I observed his interaction with two patients in the ward, one of whom has a terminal condition, and he was rude, abrupt and uncaring. Furthermore, he practices medicine outside of his area of competence - diagnosing one patient with depression. Dr Summers is neither a psychiatrist nor a psychologist, so has no authority to make such a diagnosis.
Thank goodness that now those who want to be doctors must have an appropriate bedside manner before being admitted to the medical course. Dr Summers would never pass that test if he was training now. Do yourself a favour and find another doctor.

We had a very bad experience with Dr Summers, he doesn't really care about his patients, he has a shocking temper like you would never expect to see from a Dr who should be caring... I strongly recommend if you're looking for a good Dr that you choose a different Dr.

Dr Summers is a great doctor. His knowledge is what I find the most comforting followed by his punctuality, staff and always helpful. He has certainly helped me a great deal over the last 19 years.
