The doctor is good, really nice and helpful. However, his receptionist,Karen, Oh, my god, the worst I have ever met. I can not imagine a receptinist can be rude like this. Not sure if still be able to see Dr ou, although I like him very much.

Dr. Ou was my OB throughout my pregnancy. As the previous poster mentioned, you need to be nice to the receptionist if you want her to be nice to you. I had no problems with her. I usually go there in the morning and the wait time is usually 15 mins or less. Dr. Ou would answer any questions you have. After I gave birth, Dr. Ou was the OB at York Central, I wanted to see him and asked the nurse to give him a note so that he can drop by at my room. He was very busy, yet he still made time to pay me a visit and visit my newborn. He's so great that I've decided to go to him for my annual pap test. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Ou seems like a genuinely warm person. He is frienldy and listens to what you have to say. His assistant, Karen is not a friendly person. I also had difficulty understanding her when she called me because her English is not great. I find her to be on the verge of rudeness honestly. She seems to be nicer to her Chinese patients, perhaps because she is better able to communicate with them.

Throughout my pregnancy Dr. Ou seemed to be quite busy, but he still was able to see me within a half hour of my scheduled appointment, if not less. Although, there were a couple of times when I waited 45min. only because there was an emergency and the receptionist had to squeeze her in. I would definately recommend Dr. Ou if you're having/planning a baby. However, try to get the first appoinment of the day (you'll get in right away), don't schedule appointments around lunchtime or at the end of the day. You'll be waiting forever. The receptionist may not be responsive to everyone, but if you butter her up and if you're really nice to her...she's not so bad. Say your please and thank yous and she'll be surprisingly pleasant to you too. But you have to remember that she is constantly busy, and her phone never stops ringing. Hope this helps.

The receptionist called me twice to tell me two different appointment time. I asked her to make sure my appointment time is 11:15AM at the 2nd phone call, and she said yes. At appointment date, she called me to tell me that I didn’t show up, I told her about two phone calls, but she yelled at me “I didn’t call you twice, if you don’t come now, you don’t have to come forever” and she hung up on me. DOCTOR IS VERY NICE, but the receptionist is the worst! She doesn't have any right to treat me that way. Worst experience ever!

Today is my first time visiting Dr.Ou. And I found that he was very punctual, caring and helpful; he even called me to answer my questions where his secretary was not able to help with. His office is also very clean and organized. I would recommend him to others.

During my whole pregnancy, I had one rush appointment. Other appointments were OK. Generally, I need to wait for about 1 hour if the appointments were not in the early morning. He answered my questions and asked some questions as well. I think he is helpful.

The doctor is ok. But the receptionist is really BS. IF YOU DO NOT WANT YOU AND YOUR BABY GET NERVOUS, KEEP AWAY FROM SHE, FAR AWAY.

I found the Doctor pleasant and kind. His receptionist however, Dear Lord! Sadly, I will not return to him because of this. No matter how great he is, one must deal with her over and over and more than with him! Pity.
