Best ER doctor we have had in North Bay. I always feel confident I'll get answers if he is the doctor working.

After 4 trips to the ER, we finally found a real doctor who listened and acted. After more than 9 years of back issues, just before christmas 2017, my boyfriend went from working full time to no longer being able to stand, walk, eat, use the bathroom without assistance. This came on so fast and 2 North Bay ER doctors, his family doctor, 1 Kingston doctor and 1 Kingston neurosurgeon did nothing for him. Dr Meek looked at his previous MRIs and CT scan and was shocked that he hadn’t already had surgery. Within 1/2 hour he had another CT scan and without an hour he had a MRI. He was immediately admitted and then sent to Sudbury to see a neurosurgeon. He had surgery 3 days later and is now on the mend. If it wasn’t for Dr Meek, we would still be waiting. He was a great doctor who seemed to stop at nothing to help us. It’s unfortunate that our health care system is only good for those under 19, over 65, heart attack/ stroke and car accident victims. When a 44 year old mad goes from working full time to barely able to move, this should raise some alarms. Thank you Dr Meek!! I wish you all the best and I hope you keep treating patients like they matter.

Dr. Meek is a great doctor and very personable. Great bedside manner and very helpful, taking time to explain next possible steps for me after diagnosis.

I met dr.m.meek in 2014 in the he er, thought i just had the flu, was given a script and sent home, few days later-stil not feeling well, went to family dr and asked for blood work to be done.... Thought maybe it was re-occuring mono. Had blood work done on a wednesday- lab called me at home the next day early in the morning-telling me to go directly to the er, that i was about to go into cardiac arrest....i thought.....nahhhh.........it's just the flu or mono i was tested for??? Called my family dr once again.....he told me to come to his office right away!!!!! So i did.......he then sat me down and told me i had AML.... I said " what is that?" Cancer....leukemia......he said.....shocked.....felt empty...then my dr said that they had a bed for me in the er here in north bay, hooked me up to a bunch of heart monitors.....then dr meek came to my bedside......held my had and said......i'm soooo sorry....... And apologized for misdiagnosing me......i just smiled and said....you're not god......you need not apologize........the anniversary of my diagnoses is on feb 28th, and i would really like to see dr meek once again......tell him i am fine...doing really well....had a bone marrow transplant july 2014, an most of all, just say thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!! A world of " Thanks" " i'm alive and very well!!!!!!!!! Ingrid.v.V. ☺️

When you are dealing with a volume of patients daily one tries to get the patients symptoms as quickly as possible with forward and concise questions. Dr Meek's is this style of Dr. . In my encounter he was knowledgable and efficieent in his diagnosis. Upon completion of my treatment he was courteous. It ewas a pleasure being treated by him.

I have seen Dr. Meek on a number of occasions at the North Bay ER. He is kind, efficient, and takes an interest in his ER patients. Very helpful. If you end up on the ER in North Bay you WANT Dr. Meek treating you. Decent man, great doctor!

Made a stressful emerg visit more bearable. Instead of turning me away, he took the time to find out what was wrong and treat my infection. I can't say the same about most of the emerg doctors I've seen over the years. He's an amazing doctor and I would highly recommend him as a GP

I was severely burned in a deep fryer and he was responsible and level headed enough to say he didn't know what to do and called Sunnybrook burn unit for help which saved my hands. Amazing doctor
