After receiving a serious spinal injury from sports, Dr Wong was the first neurosurgeon I was referred to, but I wish I had never met him. He was rude, called me a hypochondriac and told me to get out of his office. If it had not been for the next surgeon I saw after that, I would’ve been in a wheelchair due to the extent of my injuries. To top it all off, his office was extremely dirty. Do not waste your time on this so called physician!

After recent back surgery to overcome a problem with Spinal stenosis {that i was partly born with but getting worse} Dr Wong diagnosed my problem very quickly. ,told me what my options were,,then booked me in for a procedure within 4 weeks. It's 4 weeks after and i feel wonderful with improved mobility and no pain . I would highly recommend Dr Wong to anyone who may require his advice and operating skills.

This Dr acts in the best interests of insurance companies. He lacks compassion, guidance, or support towards the patients injuries and recovery. The wait to get in this clinic is the shortest by several months, for obvious reasons. If you have an open insurance claim, don't consult Dr Wong. Find a good Dr who's acting in better interest towards the patients recovery and who offers adivice to support the patients recovery.... Still so much corruption in the medical system targetting the vulnerable......

Great surgeon, efficient, honest and a sense of humour. The ladies in the office are lovely also. Don’t let the old school setup put you off.

I read these reviews before I saw Dr. Wong but it seemed to me that most people were simply complaining about his abrasive bedside manner rather than his skill. I was in excruciating pain. Jump off a cliff type pain. I figured he may be arrogant but good?? And I value merit above all else. Well he fixed my c6/7 pain but introduced another pain affecting my left arm. I also can't cough without getting getting pain radiating in my neck and back as if my spine is impinged. I also get regular nausea whenever the pain is worse than normal.
When I saw him about it, he immediately insisted he had done nothing wrong and said I should be happy as "at least I was not paralyzed".
Now I appreciate that these surgeries can have complications. But 11 years ago I had a similar surgery without incident by a leading surgeon.
I feel Dr Wong could have done better. I'm not convinced he did 'everything right' as he claims and for this reason I do not recommend him. Find yourself another surgeon. I am in the process of finding another to hopefully fix my residual pain.
I hate giving less than good reviews, but in this case I feel compelled as others should be wary.

No communication skills of any sort. I didn't receive an appointment email or letter, to confirm place date or time after the initial phone call booking. After awaiting a month and a half (he had my scans and x-rays this entire time) I travelled the 300km to see him. Upon entering his office he asked me what we were to discuss and as I began to explain my issue, he rudely continued to interrupt and not listen, then brought up the images on his screen. After a 30 second read of the images, he said there was nothing wrong with my spine and he could not help me. Where is the respect for me as a human with a life to lead? Read my file before my appointment and if one is not required - or you can do it over the phone then save people the time and out of pocket expenses! $290 for the appointment, $450 for the missed day of work, $80 in childcare, $50 petrol... Not to mention that if it is not my back causing the pain - you could have said so a month and a half ago when you first received my imaging and file and I could have investigated other causes!!
Disrespectful, rude, no actual thought toward the person reaching out for help!
