The first time he looked at me he told me what was wrong and what could be done! In approximately six months he had clear up my problem. That problem had been with me aprox. 25 years and many doctors.

Van Loock is the best Dr regarding bed manners, knowledge and integrity. I have known this Dr for many years and he treats me with in interest, time and patience. I would not go to another derematologist in this town. The staff is super, are very friendly and accommodating: I never experience any rudeness and unfriendliness

I've seen Dr. VanLoock several times in the last few years and have always felt that he is a wonderful doctor. He is friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He takes plenty of time to explain your condition and his treatment plan. His nurses, however, are unfriendly to the point of rudeness most of the time, I don't see a reason for that kind of behavior, but I like him so much that it won't stop me from seeing him.

If you have a disease-related skin disorder, Dr. Van Loock is the most serious dermatologist in Mobile. As they say, "a doctor's doctor." I see him for SCLE (subacute cutaneous lupus) and have always found him very through in his examinations and his explanations of his diagnoses and treatments. He makes sure the patient understands. His staff is courteous and helpful as well. My only caveat: he stays booked up way, way ahead. I hadn't had any problems in several years so had not been in to see him. When I needed to see him this summer, I found the next appointment was in the fall. Oops! If it had been a dire emergency, I think he would have worked me in, but the lesson I learned is to go see him on a regular basis whether you think you need to or not.

Dr. Van Loock is a wonderful, friendly and helpful doctor. He is timely for appointments, especially now that he's in private practice. His staff is kind as well.
