Does not listen to problems because he thinks s he knows everything. He prescribed me two prescriptions that did not match up with each other and I had to find out the hard way that they caused severe stomach pain when taking together and he keeps trying to put me omeprazole and I don’t need it. Very inexperienced nitwit my opinion should not have a license to practice confirmed everything

I can't recommend him. I had a recent appointment and because I was reluctant to take a medication he prescribed he became condescending, nasty, sarcastic and basically tossed me out of his office. He was a poor listener, very judgmental, never offered an alternative and tried to belittle me. I will never go back.

I wouldn't let that pompous "Doctor" (and I use that term loosely) touch my dog never mind a human. He has no regard for human life. If you have a loved one, don't send them there

Less than that. I have never known a Dr so incapable of feeling. My husband had issue with him because he stopped med prescribed by dr older. Side effects of Omperasol (sp?) for A stomached ulser. Long term administration of Omperasol can promote osteoporosis. My husband had been on steroids his whole life for asthma. He chose to stop taking that med as it could do long term damage to his bone density. When he told Dr Older his choice and actions, Dr Older "got that bug eyed look like he was going to explode. Dr Older then got very belligerent. Chastised my husband for making a medical decision on his own. My son had even more issues with dr older. My friends family is dealing with the aftermath of this mans making. I have had 2 procedures done by this man. He is creepy and threatening in posture. Do not question him, his ultimate rule. When questioned expect ballistics Dr Older should not be allowed to practice. How many ways can you violate a person? Aspiration ? .

As others have said, he will try to get you to have unnecessary tests and exams done when they are not needed. I had to argue with him to do a much simpler test. Also, he will not send a prescription to a pharmacy when your test is positive, he will make you go get it from him, by scheduling another appointment and collecting your co payment and insurance payment. He will not answer any question that you may have on the phone.

Dr. Older was very helpful, and examined me when no other doctors saw just cause (light symptoms). After 2-3 weeks and a series of labs, exams, and procedures we found what we believe to be the problem. Only time will tell, but So far I'm very pleased with my experience.

Sorry to say, but I felt like one of the other reviewers -- I went to Dr. Older during an acute attack and he neither examined me nor was willing to listen to my description of the attack. He ordered tests that he had previous negative results plus lots of other tests. However, he failed to order a blood test, which according to another physician I have since seen should have been done. I too was prescribed omeprazole which another physician has discontinued. Dr. Older told me to take the drug indefinitely (presumably for at least one year since he prescribed 4 90-day script). Dr. Older appears very courteous, but he is quite skillful at getting you out of his office within 10 minutes but with a handful of tests for which I believe he receives his primary income. Sorry to say that, but I certainly felt that I had been given short shrift.

I saw Dr Older for Acid reflux issue. Within a minute he had decided that I had GERD and needed to be on Omniprezol. He also asked me to get Upper GI done without giving any details on why. Maybe he is quite smart and can diagnose very quickly but he needs to take time to ask sufficient questions and give time to patients to think and ask questions.

I would equate Dr Older with the saying "if you are a hammer, the world is a nail". If you want a colonoscopy, all is fine; but if you want a solution to a problem, that might be a little different. I have since tried a different gastroenterologist and found much more help with my initial problem; one who would have looked a little more during the colonoscopy or explored other solutions.
