I was in attendance with my wife as moral support. I found Dr Carroll to be very focused and to the point. I can understand how some people may find this rude however i imagine these are the type of people that just have to say what they want to say and you better listen. My impression was he did his level best to extract as much useful information from my wife as he could which meant occasionally steering her back on topic when she drifted elsewhere. The guy is highly knowledgable and quite personable once you see him for what he is...a very focused and to the point professional. Thank you Professor Carroll for kindly and professionally handling my wifes situation as our consult with you went a long way towards bringing us a light at the end of the tunnel. All the best Tony McCluskey

I find it hard to believe some of the negative comments I’ve read about Dr William Carroll. My wife has a tumour on the brain and we recently went to see Dr Carroll for an examination and advice as to what the next steps would be in this worrying period. We both found Dr Carroll to be sincere and fully professional in his work. I can see how he might come across as being aloof, but he was to the point in his diagnosis and a gentleman in the process. Please don’t be deterred by some of the derogatory comments - Dr Carroll is a good man who cares about his patients. I’d much rather see a doctor who is direct about his diagnosis than someone who will hold your hand and try to sugarcoat what needs to be done.

Prof Carroll was recommended by a GP as an Academic. I expected him to provide a diagnosis for a very unusual symptom (cold mouth) after several whiplash injuries, made worse by computer work. He said what have computers got to do with neck injuries ? His advice - don't be so introverted. Very disappointing, poor advice & expensive waste of time - luckily Prof Bryant Stokes diagnosed trigeminal nerve damage & confirmed computing aggravates neck injuries

I have been a patient of Professor Carroll for many years and I have always found him to be helpful, knowledgeable and cares very much for his patients. He has always been polite to any family members that have been with me as well. If I did not see him for my debilitating headaches I would have been either blind or crazy. He has tried his best to treat my headaches to the best way possible, at times thinking outside of the square. My headaches are often uncontrollable, he has often gone out his way to provide the best treatment. Yes he can be abrupt and abrasive but he does put his patients wellbeing and care first. Without his expertise I would not of had the quality of life I have had living with my headaches

Worst person I have ever come into contact with, do not waste your time and money on this so called "Professor". RUDE, ILL-MANNERED, BELITTLING, ARROGANT, DISRESPECTFUL, CONTROLLING....where do i stop. This guy needs help!,
Had only met me twice and started making rude comments about relationships I have with family. I sent an email to him after he prescribed me medication which nearly put me in hospital and all that came of that was that i'm and angry person and told that I don't have people skills and need anger management. Was very very rude to my mum. Didn't show any empathy towards my condition and just like A LOT of people on here, tried to tell me that it was all in my head, even though I have 2 EEGs showing I have abnormalities and a previous neurologist has diagnosed me with Occipital Lobe Epilepsy.

I hope Karma comes round and bites this man very very hard in the backside one day!!!

Dr Carroll charged me $485 for a 5 minute consult, to tell me nothing was wrong with me. Dropped face due to Ramsay hunt syndrome and I went there to ask for contacts that could assist with rehab, which he did not provide.
Arrogant and absolute robbery

I have been a patient of Dr Carroll’s for many years and have him very helpful, understanding, caring and informative about my condition. He always has time to talk to my mother and sisters about my treatment and tries his best to treat my headaches and migraines which are debilitating and uncontrollable at the best of times. Yes he might be abrupt at times but I have always found him full of empathy for what you are going through.

After seeing many doctors I was lucky enough to be referred to dr Carroll who diagnosed my problem and has successfully managed my epilepsy for years. I find his manner pleasant and he has a lovely smile. He wants to talk to the patient not whoever is accompanying them. If he wants an opinion from your companion he will ask. Would and have recommended him.
