Dr. Ooi has been my primary physician for the past nine(9) years. He has been incredibly patient with me and has done a remarkable job of attending to my medical needs and keeping track of my health history. On my last visit I was able to review his notes on the Sutter Health portal and was amazed at how well his notes recaptured my visit. He’s always given me sound advice and, when appropriate, has referred to specialist as needed. I am fortunate to have access to Dr. Ooi and his front office.

I have several health issues and when I moved to the area I was so stressed about finding a good doctor with staff. Dr. Ooi is always available through the Sutter portal and my refills are a breeze. I transferred my children to his care as well. The only thing I'd like to see is perhaps more kid friendly furniture and toys but they play Netflix cartoons. As of staff, they smile and are helpful.

I have several health issues and have seen MANY primary doctors and specialists the last few years. Dr. Kuo Ooi is by far the best doctor I have ever had. He takes the time to answer any questions and is very knowledgeable in many areas. He doesn't make you feel rushed or stupid for asking questions, great bedside manner! He is friendly and his so is his staff. I've never had a problem making an appointment and they always return my phone calls. If something is not working for me he takes the time to help me find a better solution. I trust him so much I transferred my 2 kids and spouse from other doctors to him. I can't recommend him enough! I have been seeing him for 5 years now and I hope I don't ever lose him as a doctor.

I have been seeing Dr Ooi for a couple of years. He is good for minor issues such as cold and flu, but anything beyond no. I have decided to leave his care. He is more worried about being questioned then actually helping.

Kuo Ooi is moderately arrogant and lacks basic medical knowledge. He may be OK for sports injuries but if your cholesterol is slightly elevated and you're trying to get pregnant - watch out! He won't care and will try to put you on a statin. Pregnancy category X? No problem for Dr. Kuo Ooi. When I brought it up, he motioned as if saying "Oh well". Find a good INTERNIST (Ooi is an FP).

Dr. Ooi's medical assistant rude and unprofessional over the telephone, specifically, ranted and raged to the point of screaming towards me as a new patient. The other staff made a number of mistakes which one could overlook mostly because they were kind and respectful;however, this was the last straw.

A lackadaisacal staff makes getting needed referrals extremely difficult and slow. This doctor is interested in sports medicine, not in patients with complex medical needs.

Ive seen Dr. Ooi twice now. On my first visit and impression, he appeared knowledgeable but I had to wait about an hour before being seen and I was on time. BUT....on my second visit, 5 months later, he was RUDE, had a could care less attitude about me and my health concerns. When I asked why I wasnt entitled to get a copy of my blood lab results, he threw an attitude with me right away and said "it would be malpractice for reception staff to provide results to me over the phone" and his nurse assistant said their office policy is to not provide you a copy even while you are PRESENT at your appointment until During or After your appt. Thats ****! As a patient, you are entitled to your own records ANYTIME! They dont trust patients to review their own lab work without consultation from the doctor?! Kaiser emails results the same day to their patients! I didnt get a call from Dr. Ooi's office until two weeks later. His rudeness is uncalled for. Ridiculous office policy!

Went to see this Doctor on the advice of another physician for his opinion and advice on a long standing medical condition related to internal medicine. Once he entered the exam room, his body language and verbal communication with me was filled with irritation, rudeness, and lack of care. Whenever I tried to explain my condition, answer a question, or elaborate, he would cut me off. In my opinion, this was one the most uncomfortable Medical visits I have ever had.
