THIS ORTHO's site is not helpful in offering knowledge on the prevention of orthodontics. But, that's okay because now there are biomimicry sites and classes where scientists and some ethical dentists show the correct way to prevent malocclusion.

A biomimicry class taught thousands of our town's children the correct way to chew for tooth alignment by showing them how to mimic a SQUIRREL CHEWING ROUND ACORNS !
Children with erupting incisors must USE BOTH HANDS TO HOLD A ROUND APPLE(never cut flat or as a wedge that can wedge apart erupting teeth), CHEW EVENLY FROM EVERY SIDE, AND USE THEIR PROPRIOCEPTION TO INFORM THEM OF THE CORRECT AMOUNT OF BITE FORCE, ANGLES, AND ORIENTATION OF THE ROUND APPLE AGAINST THEIR ERUPTING INCISORS. The convexity of the ROUND apple encapsulates the incisors, creating tension, compression, and rotational, biomechanical force links between maxillary and mandibular, erupting incisors. This SQUIRREL CHEWING TECHNIQUE, when practiced 3 times daily for 3 or more months can significantly optimise the alignment of erupting incisors, and the children in the class enjoyed doing it at home- a fun game! The children ended up naturally straightening their erupting incisors into a broad arch, thickened the cortical bony housing, and slowed down eruption, enhancing the anterior, upwards curve, creating more space for ALL PREMOLAR AND CANINE TEETH to erupt! The statistics showed that they no longer needed an ortho consultation. Interesting Fact: squirrels chew the same number of times on each side! Humans are chaotic and distracted when chewing, and the use of fork and knife removes valuable proprioception!

THE BEST AND MOST ETHICAL ORTHODONTISTS ALWAYS LOOK FOR NATURAL WAYS TO PREVENT THE NEED FOR ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT !
Hippocratic Oath: First, Do No Harm: First, Naturally Prevent Orthodontics!

Right to Grow website and Karin Badt Survey on extractions are research, science based resources where parents and children can share the progress made by chewing like a squirrel.
