I know several people in town who go to Dr. Cerel and he receives high accolades from all of them.He saved my Husband's life, as he had a very rare heart valve problem. He cares about his patients - more than any other doctor I've met. Seems like this blogger has a vendetta against the guy. The only criticism I have of Dr. Cerel is of one of his office staff - the woman at reception is unfriendly and rude to patients.

I recently had to go to the local ER, with extreme shortness of breath, but no other symptoms of a heart problem. The ER staff was pretty puzzled, ran x-Rays, CT, MR, etc. The attending phy physician had lots of thinsg to say, amny of them proved to be incorrect and/or irrelevant to my problem. Dr Cerel was called in, quickly diagnosed the problem (subsequently confirmed by the cardiac surgeon at Beth Israel) as a recent rupture of the mitral valve and chordae by using an echo cardiogram, confirmed subsequently with a TEE, and took over my care. He got me scheduled with a top surgeon at Beth Israel Boston. I'm still not fully recovered from heart valve repair, but am improving day by day. I continue to see Dr. Cerel and trust him implicitly. I've seen absolutely nothing that remotely sounds like the first review here.

THIS MAN IS A MENACE TO THE PROFFESSION. HE HAS BIPOLAR DISORDER AND IS MANIC ALL THE TIME. HE SEE'S NEAR 70 PTS A DAY AND DOES NOT BELEIVE THAT HE IS DOING ANYTHING WRONG WHEN HE NEVER SHOWS UP TO DO PROCEDURES IN THE OPERATING ROOM.
