The first year I would have given him a 5 plus! But I think old demons have come back to haunt him. He seems totally un interested now in your care. He's rude and can be sarcastic and prone to prescribing medications that do not mix with others you are taking. Staff is always changing, which gives an indication he might be a little tough to work for. I would hate to change him, but if this lack of interest continues that will be the direction to take!

I am a new patient of Dr. Cerel. I feel he know's what he is doing. The confidence and compassion that he exhibits, puts me at ease. Having a heart attack, stints can cause stress and can frighten a person. He spends the time,to comfort and give you the knowledge to overcome your fears. Most importantly, how to get on track to a healthy heart. I do not understand the negative comments, he is only trying to save lives and lengthen them with good quality of life. His staff is there for you, they are stressed with a busy office, but if you take the time and be old fashion with a friendly "hello" they reciprocate. He has a professional staff that looks out for you and follows up. Stress from your heart ailments can bring out the worst in a patient. Dr. Cerel and his staff are there 100%, to help you get better. I feel that I am on the road to recovery and a long life, due to the commitment and quality of care of a fine Dr and office.

T5his Dr is nuts. I was in thee hospital for dizziness and he showed up in my room saying he was there to evaluate me. I have my own Cardiologist and don't want anyone else. He insisted I had to follow up with him and even gave me a follow up appt. needless to say I never went and to this day I am still getting appt cards in the mail and messages on my phone to come in. I have told him to stop bothering me but he doesn't get the hint. It's been 2 years..... ENOUGH ALREADY. Like I said NUTS.....

I have read the other comments and find most of them not to be what I have experienced. Dr. Cerel seems very knowledgable and has addressed to my satisfaction issues that I have had. Although he sometimes seems a bit rushed, I find that no different that every doctor I have seen for the past 50+ years. However, when I do have a question, he takes the time to give me a good explanation. All the tests that he has given me over the years seem appropriate and he doesn't seem to push medications if they are not needed. Unless something changes, my plans are to continue to use him. Regarding the nursing support staff, although they seem go through a lot of staff, every nurse has been very professional and helpful. Regarding the receptionist....yes, she isn't overly friendly, but again this isn't anything different than other receptionists for other doctors. If I need to move an appointment at the last moment, she has always found me another time slot quickly.

This Dr is a real jerk. he came into my room and said he was asked to come and evaluate me, i have my own cardiologist and it's not him. he sent me to boston for a cath and i didn't even need it then had the gall to ask my dr to write him a letter saying it was ok that he did it. i was violated in so many ways by this man that i DON'T recommend him to anyone. he is in it to boost his ego and for the money. shame on NVMC for allowing this menace to be a part of their staff. and they wonder why they are a sinking ship....

I was recently hospitized with stomac pain, as it turned out I had a severe UTI. Dr cerel came into my room and told me I was very ill and needed a Catheritization and would be sent to bi in boston. Well I had my husband get in touch with my own cardiologist and he came to see me and said I was fine I could go home. what is the deal with this cerel guy? He is durty and I thought the yard workers were comming to care for me. they would have done a better job. Cerel is crazy and should not be treating pts.

WELL GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR HUSBAND. UNFORTUNETLY NOT ALL OF US HAS HAD THE SAME OUTCOME AS YOU. MY SISTER WAS IN FOR A HIP REPLACEMENT AND WENT INTO CARDIAC ARREST THE ICU PAGED DR CEREL FOR HOURS AND WERE NEVER ANSWERED. MY SISTER DIED. I KNOW THE YOUNG LADY YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT THAT IS UNFRIENDLY. LETS JUST SAY THEY HAVE HAD A SPECIAL RELATIONSHIP FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND THAT IS KNOWN BY MOST... GOOD LUCK TO YOUR HUSBAND I WISH HIM ONLY GOOD THINGS.
