I consulted Dr. Giesbrecht many times in a period of about 15 years. He always remembered the details of my life as he was always very attentive. His knowledge and genuine kindness helped me a lot. Thank you Dr. Giesbrecht.

When I brought up something to do with discomfort with male attention as a very young patient, he immediately commented on my clothing choices (normal, not that it matters). The many African sculptures in a white psychiatrist's office were a real laugh.

I actually believe that he was more knowledgeable than such doctors usually are, but after not making a second appointment quickly, he refused even to answer my calls - from whence the low rating.

Had a poor experience with this Psychiatrist. Unprofessional with respect to poor scheduling ability forgetful of appointments he set. Kept probing areas of my life I was uncomfortable discussing after a few sessions. I moved on. There was no staff so I gave that a neutral rating of 3.

I feel really comfortable being with him. What I like is I can get an appointment without waiting a long time, sometimes same day. He's a good listener, and is very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him for psychiatric medicine!
