After 20 years of RA pain my husband left his former specialist and has now spent the past 10 years with Dr. Oberto-Medina pain free due to her aggressive approach with this disease. And for the first time ever, we have heard that there is a possibility of remission.

Does not listen well at all. Keeps changing her mind on whether or not I have a condition - one visit it's yes you do, next visit it's no you don't, next visit it's back to yes you do. Rinse, lather, repeat. If you see this doctor, be sure you read through your Visit Summary carefully, and also request a copy of your medical records from the facility.

Dr. Oberto-Medina is the kindest most compassionate doctor I have ever had the privilege of working with. She has been treating my Scleroderma for almost 2 years now. I have found her always willing to answer my questions. She works so hard to connect me with the latest treatment options and really cares about my whole well-being.

I have seen countless doctors but Oberto Medina is the absolute worst. Rude, condescending, and no help at all. She had about 60 seconds on her watch each time I made the 2 hour round trip to see her, once she even left the room while I was talking!!! I found out later she had written a letter to my primary doctor telling her not to give me a handicapped parking permit due to my severe pain and fatigue because it would "make me lazy". Her ignorance is equal to her incompetence. Will never see doctor Medina again under any circumstances.

Dr. Medina has been my rheumatologist for years. Cares about my health and listens every time. She promptly responds to my calls and knows my family members every time I see her. I don't know how she remembers but she does.
My lupus has been unde control for years of working with her and I just delivered my first healthy baby.

Awful experience for me. Too busy to listen or care and had attitude when meds didnt work. Finally quit in despair. Not my first rheum Dr...just the least caring or helpful.

I have seen Dr. Oberto Medina a few times now and am very impressed with her knowledge about RA. She chose a number of tests to be done and quickly reviewed them, had me return and explained my issues and her plans to me. she referred me to another physician to follow up what she could not treat. I am very Happy with her as my rheumatologist1

Dr Oberto-Medina is the rudest doctor I have ever seen. I left with more questions than I came with. I saw her twice and she was very judgmental and condescending toward me and my condition.

I was having major problems with my knees that started in February of 2010. I was referred to a surgeon who was completely rude. I was then referred to Dr. Oberto-Medina. She saved me and gave me my mobility back and I can even exercise again. She took the time to answer my questions. She is absolutely wonderful.
