I first worked with Dr. Newman-Toker 10 years ago, while inpatient for eating disorder treatment at St. Joseph Medical Center. She was insightful, kind, calm, and understanding. Yet, it is her job to challenge thoughts and behaviors, and also to determine the appropriate intervention for each patient. She is, by far, the best psychiatrist I've worked with. I would still be with her today if I lived the DC area.
