I was very pleased with Dr. Sibley and the Florida Eye Center. I went for lasik, but he found I had cataracts so my surgery was to remove them and put in clear lens implants. Dr. Sibley is one of the kindest and most compassionate Doctors I have met. He spent as much time as needed for each visit and always answered my questions. He was also available by phone when he wasn't in the office. I would highly recommend him.

When Dr. Sibley came in (1 hour late) he was rude and he became very aggitated when I asked how we can fix my eye problem. (I had seen him 3 weeks prior and was on 3 eye medications.) Once aggitated, he said there was nothing he could do for me, referred me to a specialist within their office, said he was done and walked out of the room. I left with no answers and not knowing what to do. In scheduling the appt. with their specialist I was asked what I was seeing the specialist for. I had no idea because Dr. Sibley explained nothing to me. By the time I got to my car I was in tears, in pain and had no answers. I should have checked this rating first before making my original appt. with him. When checking today, I saw he was already rated poorly. Evidentally, I was not the only patient with a bad experience.

Very condescending to patients. He set me wait in his office for over 2 hours because he was on the phone with his deceased brother attorney trying to wrap things up with the estate. Good indication of his priorities.

Miscalculated the correct lens implant for my eye. Very bad result. Permanent damage. Refused to acknowledge or correct mistake. Deceptive billing practices. Not a man of his word.

Very arrogant and uncaring doctor. In it for the money. Pressured me into buying Crystalens; surgery painful, lens failed. Needed corrective surgery; it didn't work. Vision worse now than before. Rush to surgery, should have gotten 2nd opinion. Felt like I was in a factory; assembly line surgery. All about the money. No compassion or care once he had my money.

doesn't want patients to ask questions, doesn't admit when he makes a mistake or tell patient the truth about a problem that he may have caused. definitely talks down to patients.

Definitely get a second opinion before you have surgery at his recommendation. I was told I needed surgery because of high pressure, and the scheduling was like a whirlwind...we need to do it now. Instead, I saw another opthamologist who saw me at regular intervals over the next few months in order to check my pressure, and determined surgery was not needed. Don't be caught up in the urgency of any immediate surgery that he suggests...get a second opinion!!!

Ongoing complications and I beleive he is not skilled in the procedure I had done as a mistake is the outcome for me and needs correction in order for me to see. I am legally blind in the eye he operated on! Seeking help away from this Dr. am advising anyone I can to steer clear away and referring other professionals I found far more superior. My error in judgement choosing him was a monumental mistake - In addition I have Migraine headaches which I have never experienced prior to this. I am seeking the advice of attorneys.

EXTREMELY LONG waiting time. Seems arrogant, speaks down to patients and does not like questions. Works well with senior patients (they will listen in ahhhh). Did not have good results from cataract procedure, but have heard he is VERY capable and has quite a following.
