I have been to Dr Finkelstein several times now and have dealt with his office staff more often. Not only did they quote me an inaccurate price for my back procedure where I was blindsided when I had to pay up, his office staff is rude and defensive when I asked what the deal is with the billing. They did not tell me details of my procedure until the payment was hundreds of dollars more than when they told me initially. The staff was rude and unprofessional. Dr. F himself was defensive, flippant, and treated me like an annoyance as well which is what I see others on here sharing as well. Would not recommend.

I went to Dr. Finkelstein on the advice of another doctor at Resurgens.. I am a 76 years old woman who has a college graduate degree, and I felt as though I was being treated as an annoyance and a bother. If I asked a question, he rudely replied. After having had back injections last week, I returned today for a follow up visit. When I was telling the doctor that I was still having pain in my lower back, his reply was, "You are telling me symptoms and not answers." Really? This kind of answer from a doctor! At no time in 4 visits did I ever fell that I had any compassion from this man. He was always in a hurry and never spent longer than 5 minutes on any visit; today's visit may have lasted 3 minutes. Do what you may, but I will not return to this doctor!

I found Dr Finkelstein very professional, knowledgeable and caring. He explained what steps needed to be taken after my diagnosis. His bedside manner was pleasant, straightforward and informative.

He is terrible! Completely perfunctory bordoring on rude, and lacking in friendliness or compassion. Just dumped alot of info on me about a complicated situation and just said "you decide", with no guidance or recommendations. I am 67, and have seen a lot of doctor's over my lifetime, and he is at the bottom.

My experience was very similar to the person who wrote that this was his/her first ever on line review, mine too. He seemed angry angry and defensive when I asked questions. My vertebrae fractures are serious and painful, he was unsympathetic and and angry that I followed the advise of my PCP and chose not to have a surgical procedure to repair my first fracture. It healed, but now I have a second one. I thought perhaps I was overreacting until I read the other reviews. He must treat all his patient the same way.

His Asst didn't introduce herself, asked her name & "are you dr Finkelstein's nurse...replied, w annoyance "medical asst", threw my file on the desk & said "you're next" Her name is unusual & apparently annoyed that I could not get that right. After a long wait, Dr F walked in, no introduction & said "your Back is a Mess & it is not going to get any better" He offered drugs & shots...& was very annoyed when I was hesitant. Spent 2 minutes with me & he could not care less. I did call Asst later with concerns /requests & she was very responsive. Think she just hates her job & Dr F! Ha! Think Dr F hates his job, too ( or his life) I do think he is knowledgeable so if you can put up with his complacency & zero personality, go for it!

This is my FIRST_EVER online review. But my experience with Dr. Finkelstien felt important enough that I want to let everyone know. I went to Resurgens with back pain and was looking to find an orthopedic expert who can diagnose the problem and help in recovery. I went to Dr. Finkelstien 3-4 times and would always come back more confused than I would be before the visit. What was very odd was that every time I saw him, I felt guilty for having the pain….as if I am the one responsible for creating the problem and burdening him (as all humankind) with the task of helping me with the injury. If you have a question during the appointment, be sure to bring your thick skin, because he WILL make you feel bad for asking a question (any question)! And god help you if you want to discuss possible scenarios about what might be going on with your body. My only mistake was that it took me four visits before my better judgement kicked in and I found another physician (within Resurgens), who was ready to be my partner in this recovery.

Didn't get to finish my new patient forms before I was sent for x-rays, and Dr. Finkelstein only looked at those before giving a recommendation and ending the visit. He never looked at anything I wrote down, didn't ask about my history, and clearly wanted to be somewhere else. I was really hoping for some help with a years-old problem and I'm so disappointed.

I spent more time waiting than I did with the doctor. He rushed through the visit and wasn't able to explain my injury. It was a waste of time and money.
