I didn’t have a good experience delivering with Dr. Beitle. The care itself was fine and I suppose that’s what really matters. However, I found him unprofessional and practically mean in terms of how he interacted with me. He made fun of me during my c-section and he even made jokes about my baby. I didn’t appreciate it at the time but didn’t feel I could say anything to the man operating on me. To make matters worse, my father had passed away the previous day from Alzheimer’s and I was very upset. The last thing I needed was my doctor giving me a difficult time. I was kind of out it from the unexpected death and forgot some details about the surgery. He proceeded to scold me and talk down to me, and I found myself saying “sorry” to him. He came across to me as your typical entitled white male who has never experienced childbirth and thinks he’s in a position to talk down to patients or make a joke out of everything. I expect professionalism and seriousness from a physician. I don’t think there is anything funny about giving birth.

I’m just glad my baby arrived safely and I never have to see the man again. I didn’t return for my 6-8 week checkup because I do not want anything to do with him and do not want him providing me with medical care.

If you truly don’t care what your doctor says to you or how he behaves he might be a good option for you.

he is legitimately the best doctor ever. I owe that man my life for the 3 healthy children I have after years of trying and miscarriages with another doctor who told me it was normal and nothing was wrong with me. He listens and truly cares for his patients. When I was pregnant , he scheduled extra appointments bc I was so nervous to miscarry again. When I delivered, he came multiple times a day to check on me. I actually just had a procedure done yesterday (not pregnancy related) and he was so great through every step of the way. He doesn’t get top OBGYN in Ri every year for nothing.

I owe everything to Beitle and his team for finding my sons rare heart defect at my 20 week ultrasound. Beitle did everything in his power to get me to the right people to double and triple check his findings and explain everything to me. I had been seeing him for years before this though and he’s always been amazing!

Dr. Beitle is one of my favorite doctors I've ever had. Through my pregnancy he was always laid back and never made me over think things. I had an induced labor, and delivery with forceps. He was so calm through the whole process, he took his time positioning everything and my son was born with just one more push. The staff at women and infants all like him very much so the collaboration was amazing. I couldn't have asked for a better experience from beginning to end.

Truly an amazing physician. I had a rough delivery at the end, and he was brilliant with forceps. So focused, so skilled, and calm through it all. All of the visits were a pleasure due to his wonderful bedside manner, calm nature, and down-to-earth nature. By far the best doctor I've ever had. And the best measure of his ability: the fact that most of the female physicians, nurses, and hospital staff at Women & Infants are his patients!

I experienced major complications during my pregnancy and was hospitalized for over a month. He was fabulous through it all. My twins are healthy thanks to him and the wonderful team at women and infants

Great Doctor. I feel very comfortable with him. He is very patient and lets the patient lead. His knowledge and expertise is very encouraging. He delivered two of my children and I felt completely confident that all was well with him there. I would never go anywhere else.
