My wife was referred to him for pain management. He only wanted her to do painful nerve testing. Looking at discharge paperwork she has several problems that are treatable. They also put the diagnosis of clumsiness as a diagnosis. Yes she had fallen several times , but there is a problem with her back and numbness and weakness in her right leg. There is a real problem, but we now know how he actually views his patients. Would you like to be classified as clumsy when you have pain and weakness, no I don’t think so.
We are educated and my wife is an RN nurse so there is some knowledge there when your dealing with a flake doctor who probably thinks if you weren’t clumsy you wouldn’t be in pain and have weakness.
There are plenty of other providers, and my advice based upon our visit, is find someone else who will see the patient as a person who needs help.
Avoid this one if you can and will save you from looking for a second opinion.

Dr. Dunn treated me for approximately 5 years for shingles. I had been to many doctors and pain specialists for pain in my right temple, above my right eye, and at the right eye tear duct area, but no one could help. The pain was triggered by light, and so severe that I had to stay in a dark room to ease the pain. Pain medication did not help. I couldn't work or enjoy life. Finally, I was referred to Dr. Dunn. Dr. Dunn was new to the Neurology Center, but he took time to study the specific nerve source of the pain and a resolution for the problem. He performed (Radio Frequency Treatments). I had little to no pain, and what I had was manageable with over the counter medications. Dr. Dunn was a life-saver for me I cannot express the appreciation I have for him. Dr. Dunn exhibited care, determination, and persistence to help solve my problem. I thank God I was sent to him. These are the reasons I have given him the highest rating possible.

I suffer from nerve damage caused by tourniquet used during knee surgery. I was referred me to Doc. Dunn for pain managemnet. He immediately offered only a neurotransmitter. The trial test seemed to work. After the surgery, suddenly insurance wouldn't pay for it because they considered it experimental. I was told that they checked and insurance would cover it. That being bad enough after 2 years I have had 4 appointments with him, and he still doesn't know how to use the computer and software to check or adjust the transmitter. The pain has become worse as other healing has occurred, but Dr. Dunn offers no other suggestions. Asked if there is something more radical, he is stuck on the fact that he doesn't know where the pain signal is from. I tell him over and over that none of this started until after the surgery with the tourniquet and the pain starts in the morning after muscles in my foot starts cramping. He is stuck on that the pain signal may come fromy brain or spinal columnn.
