My entire family has been going to Dr Shertzer for as long as we can remember. Sure you have to wait a while but I wouldnt choose another doctor if i had to!

The First time I went to Dr. Schertzers office I spent a total of 2 & 1/2 hours there. This was when he was located at the Westside Pavilion. I say the Nurse Practitioner first and was later followed by Dr. Schertzer himself. This year when I went in, I arrived 1/2 hour earlier then my appointed time, was in by my time, paperwork completed, and was out of his office not 40 minutes later. I was greeted not only by the staff but by doctor Schertzer himself where he spent the good amount of time with me. I was completely satisfied by the services provided to me.

Dr. Schertzer has delegated too much of his patient care to his physician assistants (PAs). Face-time and direct communication with the doc is so minimal, I wonder if he even still works there. Meanwhile, I've spent most of my time dealing with the PA, who appears apathetic and repeatedly does not return phone calls. Can you imagine waiting anxiously for test results and never receiving a call back? The PA demonstrates no sincere interest in addressing a patient’s concerns or well-being.

Dr. Chertzer is a good doctor however he does not seem to have enough time to spend with his patients like it used to be. Over the past few years he has been relying more on the nurse practicioner, who is also good but not Dr. Schertzer.
