I found Dr King to be very personable and he had my records and was interested in getting my past records. He spent a good amount of time with me. I was very satisfied.

Horrible Dr!! Told me to take a med that the FDA had issued a serious never give alert which said never give to patient with Kidney Disease which I told him multiple times that I was born with Polycystic Kidney Disease. His answer when I asked a question about the medication was, "all medications have to get filtered." HORRIBLE DR!!!! I would not recommend anyone to ever go to him. Even crazier thing was when I was inpatient at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, I told a nurse about my experience but never gave her the name of the Dr and out every neurologist there at SHH she point blank said it must be Dr. Lawrence King. I was shocked! She said all kinds of people complain about him.

I made my appointment 4-5 months ago . One week before the appointment received call that I would have reschedule another 3 months down the road. It seems he is not interested in his patients at all. Does he have a license to practise??? Would give less than one star if available.

Call backs are nonexistent, Charge nurse is inept at making appointments for tests. Takes forever to get anyone on the phone. The nurses are wonderful as well as the doctor himself. It is truly sad that the staff gives this office such a bad reputation.

I don't know what happened since the previous person's visit but this practice has gone straight downhill. It is an extremely long wait to get in and once in the doctor does not go over medical history, no bedside manner at all, and has no time for his patients. Do not expect a call back if you have a medical emergency, you will get in to see another doctor before you get a call back. The doctor is not thorough and not worth the time and effort. If you have serious problems do not go see this doctor because you will not see any results. It is sad that the medical profession has turned into a money making business that does not care about theor patients and this physician confirms this when you go to see him.

Dr. King is a very caring doctor. He really tries to spend as much time with you (it is hard this day and age), and he really listens to you..and what you want to do with your illness. He has helped me to decide what is best for me, including what I do and don't want to do. I really like him. The wait time to get an appointment is long (new patients)- but he just has so many patients!!!! It is worth the wait...he is actually here in Pensacola, FL now- not B'ham...
