Dr. Golan did, indeed, save my life, as he has others. Aside from treating conditions insurance-based MD's ignore (at the patient's peril), he's exceptional in that he works with the patient in a true partnership. When test results indicate an anomaly, he asks the patient for ideas, weighs the information, and makes a decision on how to proceed. He's also open to suggestions from patients on effective remedies that he hasn't encountered in his practice and studies. Unlike other doctors, he doesn't dismiss patient concerns and tell them "nothing's wrong". He asks a lot of questions to ascertain the nature of the problem. He WILL get to the bottom of what ails you. He's the only doctor in 20 years who ordered the testing necessary to diagnose my lifelong thyroid disease. The only doctor to take any of my chronic illnesses seriously. He really stands in a class by himself. He's very attentive and downright gifted. And he is always learning more. This is the only doctor I've known who makes good use of his Continuing Education requirement; instead of going on thinly-veiled junkets funded by big Pharma, he selects courses that truly help him help his patients.

He's a very rare practitioner. He stands heads above his own holistic MD colleagues (several of whom I tried after moving out-of-state, with disappointing results).

Dr. Golan listens to me like no other doctor has in the past. He gives me all of the time I need and all of the information I need to fully understand my condition and treatments. He leaves no questions unanswered and I leave feeling taken care of and cared for. He has uncovered reasons for reoccurring problems I have had for years and has really changed my life. He is not inexpensive, but he is well worth the money because I now have answers and feel so much better!

I am very happy to have found Dr. Golan. As he says at the start, he is NOT your primary care dr., but is for certain problems. I feel he really listens, thinks about what you have said, then tests and does verification before setting up a medicinal protocol. His treatment is very person-specific, not 'by the list' as I had elsewhere. I feel I am getting better and stronger, and feel well looked after. THANK YOU!!!And I don't mind if he runs a little late due to giving someone the care they need. He'll do the same for me if needed. And his rate is 25% lower than the Lyme dr I was seeing before. Just sayin'.

Dr. Golan saved my life and my mom's life. He is so knowledgeable and kind! He uses allopathic and holistic medicine to get you well. He was able to diagnose me precisely and match the necessary supplements and drugs to treat my illnesses the best way possible. You can wait a bit at the office, but it's because he cares about each individual he sees and spends as much time as you need to ensure your questions are answered and you're comfortable with your visit. Also, he and his wife try their best to make sure you can afford the supplements you need. Ask for the list before you buy (they are ok with this) from them and look online for some that are cheaper. Dr. Golan can be a little scatterbrained when rushed, so make sure you pay attention to what he says and does to ensure consistency. He is upfront about his fee and that you need to bill your own insurance, but he and his wife will work with you. You will not find a more compassionate, knowledgeable doctor who will listen to you

After throwing $$ away for 15 years on 32 mds, 3 psychiatrists, 4 neurologists, 4 psychologists, 7 naturpaths, 2 homeopaths, and the whole of Mayo Clinic, my son and I were finally diagnosed with for the REAL cause of our disabling, torturous illnesses. Dr. Golan saved our lives. He has done this for many others, as well. HOW MUCH IS THAT WORTH TO YOU?!!! My only regret is that we did not find Dr. Golan until my son had been robbed of ALL quality of life, and I had been robbed of 100s of thousands of dollars. In this universe, there does not exist an amount that can ever repay this man for his kindness, skill, humility, AND GENEROUSITY. Perhaps it is not till you are near death and have been insulted, fleeced and ignored by the medical community that you learn to appreciate a hero like Dr. Golan. He is the only reason I am able to write this today. Grow up, people. No md takes insurance (You LUCKY ones who HAVE IT!), and no md does what Dr. Golan does.

I, like someone else who has posted here, am FOREVER grateful to Dr. Golan for discovering and treating parasites after being unsuccessful with other doctors for years. I made a special trip to just to see him after reading his AMAZING book "Optimal Wellness". When the benefits are SO great, the cost of seeing him, to me, is well justified when one considers possibly being ill possibly for the rest of your life!! I don't know why MORE doctors don't screen for parasites or are more aware of the "alternative laboratories" Dr. Golan uses. This seems to be a very big gap in medical practice today. I must admit, however, that Dr. Golan was LESS successful at subsequent treatment of other things with me (e.g. Candidiasis)and I then became indignant about his charges which truly are astronomical. It makes one wonder about our entire medical system where doctors are not penalized, but are actually rewarded (by more revenue) if their diagnosis/treatments are not successful.

I came to see Dr. Golan knowing how expensive he was and that my insurance may not cover anything. But I was desperate. I have had a sideache for 2 years after a trip to Mexico, heartburn and other misc. symptoms. My Parathyroid hormones were elevated and 2 showed overactive when scanned, but my previous Dr. kept putting things off, told me that it may all be just my age and that my test results, though out of the normal range, could be normal for me. I did some research on my own and my Dr. didn't know anything about what I had learned. So, I turned to Dr. Golan. I knew he was smart when he talked about everything I had read, and finally felt relief when he thought my symptoms were worth pursuing. I am now on antibiotics for a parasite, and we have yet to discover what else is going on. I really liked him. I don't recommend him for just anything, only because of the cost, but if, like me, you're at your wits end, he may be what you've been looking for.
