Dr. Chevli is a top notch doctor that I saw a few times leading up to my Urolift procedure. He was very knowledgeable, compassionate with a great bed side manner.

I had a unique situation with kidney stones, requiring a Urologist's direct treatment. At first I was impressed with Western NY Urology. They have a streamlined and smooth process for patients, making it easy and stress-free for going to the doctor. After what was a successful treatment, there were some non-serious but unfamiliar issues. Dr. Chevli, at first, seemed interested in resolving but preferred to take a "wait and See" approach. After 18 months, and the this continued approach, he seemed to not care, having never taken any action. Very disappointing. From my point of view, he simply didn't want to deal with a complication that he couldn't immediately figure out.

Also, the office scheduled a surgery but didn't get all the doctors involved approved by my insurance company. This included the anesthesiologist which I spent hours challenging my insurance company to cover. Eventually, I prevailed but with no help from the office.

went 2 Dr Chevli for a check up on prostate he recommended a scope. after the procedure he recommended surgery due to scaring on my urethra . i called the office to ask a couple of very normal questions(how could the surgery be done and what could of caused the scaring i had ) and Dr Chevli immediately got upset . he took it as i was "doubting his diagnosis" and recommended i get a second opinion before surgery. i told him i dont want one that i just want him (my surgeon) to please help me to understand my options so i can make an informed decision. he then stated that he sees more patients than any one in wny and that if i can find a smarter doctor then so be it good for me. the day before my surgery a nurse called me to say Dr.Chevli would do the surgery only on the condition that i say i understand the risks involved.the doctor then canceled my surgery for asking again and sent me a letter banning me from there office i still dont know why and am very upset over the experiance

Dr. Chevli and his staff have been my urologist for over 9 years. I had years of UTI's, bladder infections, kidney infections, kidney stones, etc. I had gone to various doctors prescribing antibiotics, ER doctors asking if I had an STD, telling me to wear different undergarments, use different bathroom tissue, wipe differently, on and on this went for almost 20 years. I found a general doctor who took the time with me, said this was not normal, checked into it and told me to find a urologist. A friend recommended Dr. Chevli and it has been a wonderful experience. Dr. Chevli discovered that my ureturs were bent, my kidney had atrophied and he performed reimplanation surgery on me. I was back at work after 3 weeks. Dr. Chevli is a fantastic doctor along with his staff. I will always be grateful that he took the time with me.

He is one of the BEST doctors I have ever been to. When I was very upset about a problem I had he was very calming and took the time to talk to me and explain things. When he sent me for tests the nurse told me - don't be late he is always early, and sure enough I got there and they took me right in, he was waiting for me. I never waited more than 10 minutes for him. He is very gentle and through and will take the time to explain things to you. When we found out my dad had prostate cancer I called to see if he could get in with Dr. Chevli and they took him in the next day. When my dad didn't understand everything they had told him I had gone and asked if I could talk to a nurse to see what they had told my dad and instead Dr. Chevli himself came in a talked to me and explained all that was going on. I am sorry to say I had to leave the Buffalo area and Dr. Chevy but I would recommend him to anyone in a heart beat.
