I went to see Dr Sliker as I needed a primary Dr..he was thorough and very nice. He referred me to a kidney specialist and the only complaint I have is its been over 10 days to here from the kidney Dr for a appointment.. I don't know if that falls on Dr Sliker office or the kidney Drs office.

Great doctor and staff! I am always treated very nice by everyone. I doubt seriously that doctors can't match it. I consider Dr. Sliker a friend and that means a lot to me.

I have been a patient of Dr Sliker's for many years now and find some of the reviews or comments below to be completely inaccurate. I have never had anything less then a great experience when visiting him. The waiting time is a little excessive but once getting with the doctor everything then proceeds in a timely manner. I have never not had him give me his full attention and be nothing less than professional.
I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a good doctor in the area.

The doctor's nurse was incredibly rude, very unprofessional and totally incompetent. The doctor gave a prescription for 1/5 the normal dosaage of hydrocodone for severe pain (broken ribs), and would not increase the dosage when I told him that it was completely ineffective. The pain was so unbearable that I was unable to move, and could not even lift myself out of bed in the morning.

EXCELLENT PHYSICIAN, BUT HIS STAFF IS A DISGRACE,(WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE VERY COMPETENT LAB STAFF) THE MEDICAL ASSISTANT REPRESENTED HERSELF AS THE DR'S. NURSE AND ON MULTIPLE OCCAISIONS EITHER DID NOT RETURN PHONE CALLS OR RETURNED THEM DAYS LATER. MOST TIMES THE PHONE CALLS WERE REGARDING LAB RESULTS THAT DR SLIKER TOLD ME TO CALL FOR IF I DID NOT RECEIVE ANY CALLS FROM HIS STAFF. IF IT WERE NOT FOR THE STAFF, I WOULD CONTINUE TO BE HIS PATIENT. THIS DR WAS ALWAYS PLEASANT AND HELPFUL TO ME AND MY WIFE.

The resident who came in to see me was friendly and seemed concerned about my needs Dr. Sliker came in. He did not greet me or even look at me. He walked over to a counter and began speaking to me in a rude and condescending manner. He would not disclose my lab values to me upon request. He ignored conditons that I have been treated for in the past, but have not been able to continue treatment due to lack of finance. He refused to refill prescriptions that I had been taking for a long time and had since run out. I am 65 years old.I have been putting off going to the doctor for a long time due to lack of insurance. Now that I finally have medicare,I was glad to be able to get treatment for my conditions. Now I have been humiliated by the one person who could give me much needed treatment. I definitley realize that he was putting on some kind of performance for the resident whom I agreed to have in the room, instead of communicating with me as a patient.Bad role model! God Bless you too!

The first time I went to see Dr. Sliker I didn't have an appointment. I was going on vacation and didn't want to leave town sick. Even though I wasn't a regular patient his staff got me in to see him in a short amount of time. His treatment was effective and helped me get well. The next time I went to see him I had an appointment and was in a treatment room at my appointed time. I haven't had any issues with the Doctor or his staff.

Dr. Sliker and his staff have always been friendly and helpful to me. Maybe some of other people posting have mood disorders or are not good patients. As far as the doctor's demeanor, Dr. Sliker and his staff have always been polite and respectful to me. I have been a patient now for well over a year and have stomach issues where there have been times I have had to see him twice or more in one week. I think those who are complaining should rethink how they act as well because from the posts, I am not sure that they are very polite or courteous at all. On the other hand, I have always felt comfortable going to see Dr. Sliker or anyone on his staff.

Dr. Sliker is probably the worst doctor I have ever visited. He acts as though no matter who you are, he is better than you, and as if he would rather be doing anything but dealing with patients. I have never heard anyone say nice things about this man. I went to see him when I first moved to the area and asked that he change by birth control as it was seriously affecting my moods and behavior and I was having suicidal thoughts. He stated that it was nothing to be concerned about, and that the moving probably just stressed me out! When a doctor tells you not to be concerned about suicidal thoughts, he should have his license revoked. Oh, he also told me that I needed to have reconstructive surgery on my sinus cavity when I asked about some allergy medication and scheduled me for imaging. I sought a second opinion (who then became my pcp) and found out I had a sinus infection. I would strongly urge anyone considering this doctor to look elsewhere.

The staff has always been pleasant at each visit. Dr. Sliker, however, is another story. He is a terrible listener and talks to me like I am a moron. Also, when I am there I get the impression that he finds me to be physically gross which is not very comforting.
