Bad news. Seek care elsewhere.
I chose her because she seemed knowledgeable and experienced, was in-network with my insurance, and CWC as a whole was recommended to me.
Reading other reviews, I am not sure what the dividing line is between the patients with whom she chooses to be brusque and condescending and the patients to whom she chooses to display compassion, but unfortunately, I received the arrogant version of Dr. Bohon.
The desk staff are lovely. The lab staff are lovely. The nursing and PA staff are lovely.
The doctor, not lovely.
Made a bunch of assumptions about my diet and exercise habits without reading my chart notes. I explained the medical basis, she looked, she stopped talking.
Lectured me while I was in the stirrups about a choice a different medical provider advised me to make, a decade earlier. She seemed to be looking for a debate, which I didn’t give her, and finally, blessedly, stopped the harangue to focus on finishing the Pap smear.
Did not inform me of the risks of an in-office procedure before railroading me into having it performed right there and then.
Office practice refused to update my chart in the patient portal including not recording ordered labs and not providing CPT codes.
She’s certainly experienced, and she’s certainly impressed with her own knowledge, but this isn’t someone who seeks to partner with her patients. She won’t make an effort to educate you and she’ll discourage you from asking questions to understand your health and care plan.
Woman to woman: find someone else.
