The absolute worst doctor I’ve ever come in contact with. Had kidney cancer, no compassion…curt, had to rush out of ur appt. Ultimately removed my right kidney. Protocol, as I’ve since learned, is to remove adrenal gland. That never happened. In fact 2 years of scans which identified tumor growth in adrenal gland he continued to tell us no concerns let’s keep watching. Ultimately, cancer did spread and I’m now stage 4. When I questioned him he fired me. Would not work with me again. I ended up reaching out to his superior who connected me with a whole new team. I’ve just completed radiation and monitoring tumor growth. The man jeopardized my health and my life. My husband is an exceptional advocate and he plans on taking all avenues to expose Dr Han and get compensation for what he’s done to me.

After experiencing an unbelievably inept experience at Chesapeake Urology in Howard county ,Md. I got a second opinion from Dr. Han for my prostate cancer. He had the initial biopsy slides reevaluated , which had been diagnosed incorrect. He ordered a prostate MRI , which the local doctor did not do. I felt going into surgery that he had all the pertinent data necessary to strategically plan how to proceed .I was well taken care of post op in the hospital by nurses and residents specifically trained in urology. My pathology report came back with some good news , no surprise in the Gleason score, negative lymph glands and negative margins . He is obviously extremely skilled in his surgical technique , because I did think I might have a positive margin. His staff always responded to any concerns or asked Dr. Han to speak with us within hours .

Absolutely the worst physician I’ve ever had. Definitely not up to Hopkins standards. Egotistical, curt, lack of communication, dismissive and ultimately misdiagnosed me and no I have Stage IV cancer an d I’m dying. I don’t have the strength/energy to take legal action. However, I feel like by posting this maybe I can save another persons life. REMEMBER - 2nd opinions can save your life.

I was diagnosed with a Prostatic Adenocarcinoma. Gleason 9. My doctor in Annapolis told me there was only one doctor to do the procedure I needed. He said whether you're the president, a rockstar, or a professional athlete this is who you see. God has blessed him with a unique set of skills that allows him to perform minimally invasive radical prostatectomy with 100% nerve preservation. Can't put into words the love, gratitude, and appreciation I have for Dr. Han and his team. It's wonderful we have people like him and the Johns Hopkins staff that make a huge difference every day.

From the moment my wife and I walked in on the day of surgery until the moment we were taken to the car everything was first right.  Johns Hopkins the premier hospital in the world.

I had full sexual function the day they removed the catheter. Someone, I thought that would take months happened the same day.

So disappointing. When you have just been diagnosed with cancer a warm, thoughtful, encouraging surgeon would be wonderful. OR the truth of what you are facing. I received neither from Dr. Han.

I had Prostate surgery in September. Along with a state of the art facility is a state of the art Surgeon. He does not pass off his duties to the Resident's and instead performs many of these tasks personally. Dr. Han was great with giving all upfront and post Surgery information. This was a comforting feeling in a very tumultuous time for me. It simply did not feel like the usual greed machine mentality.
P S. This was a five hour trip away for me. The Johns Hopkin's experience was one worth taking the time to help others experience. A very professional and accommodating Hospital at every level.

I had a partial nephrectomy just over a month ago. I had an excellent experience with Dr. Han and his staff. I was well informed through all phases; treated with kindness and respect and everyone was very responsive. My procedure went as expected as did recovery and I'm cleared for activities. Highly recommend Dr. Han and his staff.
