Discovered my 13yr son's sports related foot injury was misdiagnosed by another place...and that they Xrayed his foot from the wrong view. Dr. Key is sports oriented even runs triathalon's himself and has a great approach to treating injuries in a reasonable manner. Great listener and explains issues clearly. Easy to follow up with. No air of pomposity or attitude that I've detected with many Doctors and specialists and we've been to a lot because of current & past kid sports related injuries.

I have been seeing Dr. Key for the past 10 years. I have now moved out of state and when I come into town I always schedule a check up for wellness or illness with my feet. He is well educated, pauses and evaulates the problem and I hold him in high standards.

Dr. Key did my bunionectomy and I found that he is an excellent surgeon who always made me feel like my treatment was his highest priority and took interest in my care and comfort during my recovery. I had a fantastic result and would highly recommend him to anyone!

Key treated my then 42 yo ex-wife for a minor bunionectomy. One and a half years later she endured a big toe and first ray amputation. She continues to have trouble with foot to this day and is now officially handicapped. I filed a complaint with CT DPH. The first consultant returned a very comprehensive and detailed multi-page report citing ELEVEN CLINICAL deviations from standard of care. His report was not used as a conflict was discovered by the state - one of which was the over-prescribing of narcotics and controlled substances NOT typically dispensed for treatment of the foot. The 2nd cnsltnt returned a VERY thinly-written two page report citing Key seemed to have a grasp on the care. Ct DPH dropped the complaint. Meanwhile, an out-of-court settlement was reached and my ex-wife received monetary compensation from Key's attorneys and insurance company for her injuries in order to avoid a court room showdown. Based on my knowledge, I would stay away from this podiatrist.
