I have been seeing Dr. Edelstein for decades. She is an excellent doctor and save my life 15 years ago when I was first diagnosed with breast cancer. Not only is she remarkable at what she does she’s compassionate kind and supportive. I travel from Florida to see her and I will continue forever. A remarkable woman who is skilled, compassionate I’m probably the best doctor you’ll ever go to for a mammogram.

I can not understand the negative comments posted here. Dr. Edelstein saw me 6 years ago and discovered a very tiny tumor. She took extra pictures and was late for her own medical appointment because she spent so much time with me. Ashe sent me for a biopsy and then to the best surgeon in the city at Cornell. She called me at home while she was on vacation to see how I was. Yes, she takes no insurance and is expensive, but I’m paying for her expertise. I travel two hours to get to her office and wouldn’t go anywhere else. She saved my life and there is no price to put on that.

Dr Edelstein was highly recommended to me. I was shocked to find her both medically negligent and rude. AVOID her if you want skilled and compassionate medical care.

I have NEVER written a negative review of a doctor before. With family who are physicians, I am aware that they have long hours, stressful jobs, and like all of us, aren’t always perfect. However, neither Edelstein did not warn me not to take certain medicines before the procedure. She was arrogant, rushed and rude when I called after my consult with questions. She did not call me with the results of my biopsy, as she said she would. I was left to figure out next steps for myself.

One expects better from any physician, but especially one who takes no insurance, and whose fees are very high. Perhaps her illness earlier this year has affected her ability to practice competently. If so, she should stop.

I have been going to Dr Edelstein for over 20 years. I trust her completely. She is professional and very knowledgeable. I find her staff helpful and very pleasant. Yes, she is expensive and does not accept insurance. Since she doesn't accept medicare either I may soon have to, reluctantly, find a new radiologist

Awful and humiliating experience at her office. Her receptionist was so rude and thr practice lacks empathy. I had an appointment with Dr. Edelstein and she refused to see me bc I did not have a recent Mammogram, although i had just had a thorough Breast MRI. When her receptionist made my appointment, this requirement was not discussed. I travelled two hours to NYC and missed work for this appointment. She had no compassion and refused to see me and did would not consider looking at any of my tests or results. Her receptionist discussed my case, my details, and denied to see me all while other patients looked on in the waiting room. Humilitating is an understatement. Awful experience, especially when you are looking for help with a serious condition.

Warmth is not Dr. Edelstein's strong point, and I find that disconcerting. Almost upsetting. That said, they say she has the best eyes in NY. I've been going here for twenty years and that is why. Guess I don't pay her to love me. Oh yes, and you sure pay. Cash. $$$$$

I could not imagine anything but praise given for Dr. Edelstein. She has demonstrated over the last 10+ years that she has enormous talent, incredible insight and the true belief that every one of her patience is important to her. I am beyond impressed with her patience and incredibly kind demeanor -I would never go elsewhere. The office and staff are superb.

Very busy, over extended overbooked practice. Long Long waits. Requires multiple tests at a single visit for routine screening and very expensive with rates increasing every year. Accepts no insurance. Doctor always appears rushed, seeing many patients at the same time. Appears competent though at reading films. which is important .
