Mullangi is an awesome urologist. He identified what was wrong with me after 2-3 OTHER doctors had no clue, treated w/ multiple antibiotics (it wasn't an infection), and treated me as though I somehow "enjoyed" going to the dr for gyn inspection! He always answered all questions,& never behaved as though he thought questions were silly, stupid, or too time consuming to address. He performed two separate invasive surgeries on me which, along w/ meds, has allowed me to live a pain-free life. I miss his care. What everyone failed to say/see re the actions against him: what business did hosp have in allowing someone who supposedly had no/not enough training with a device use it? The hosp wanted to offer the robotic srvc, but certainly didn't take responsibility for the outcome of their own greed. He is so caring,&I am sure this haunts him everyday. BTW:there is basically nothing that can be done to stop a bleeding artery-doubt he "didn't notice"& feels horrible.Hosp hung him out to dry.

I went to Kumar only once, but i knew him very well. His daughter was my best friend since kindergarten when i moved to Burlington 9 years ago. HE is a very kind person who made a mistake. But his family, and work ethic is top notch.

Unfortunately Dr Mullangi killed our best friend during a routine surgery by cutting his artery and not noticing until he had bled to death. This was a routine laproscopic surgery to put in a stint.

Despite litigation a medical board action, I had good luck with this doctor for a non-surgical problem.

I saw Dr. Mullangi after a bladder sling was inserted too tightly by my ob-gyn doctor during a hysterectomy, after having a supo pubic catheter for 7 weeeks and having to self catheter myself for 5 months everytime I needed to urinate Dr. Mullangi went in and cut the sling, in my opinion he was very knowledgable, caring, took the time to explain everything to me, and was very patient with all of my complaints and frustrations, there was never a time that I was not able to reach him in an emergency ( I spoke to him at his home on several different occasions) I will never regret my decision of choosing Dr. Mullangi as my urologist, him and his staff are some of the most caring and understanding people I have ever met. Since my surgery I have had no problems and Dr & his staff have called periodically to check on how I am feeling, which is more than a lot of doctors and their staff will do!
